It's math.. it can only be so interesting, but Doc Forman did a great job making it so. As for working through proofs on the board, that is the best way to learn.. by following the reasoning in theory, in practice and in chalk. Can't think of a better way to learn the ins and outs of higher math. Kudos to Doc Forman!

The greatest! Very approachable, dedicated prof who put students first. Would spend as long as it took with anyone who asked to help them understand. Made math relevant to social scientists. His Calc classes made success possible later in grad school econ classes: maximizing area under a curve? That's what most policy decisions are all about.

He definately knows and loves math. my favorite days were when he would randomly teach us a magic trick. you have to take the math credit, may as well do it with pre-calc rather than quantitative reasoning.

I LOVE FORMAN!!!! To anyone who insults him -- I sure hope you don't have to take any more math classes because you will not survive. He's by far the best professor in the math department. He makes everything very easy to understand and his tests are very clear, with no tricks. VERY HELFPUL!!!!
