A brilliant man with a crude sense of humor and a mastery of his craft. He managed to hold my attention every class for the entire 50 minutes. However, those who struggle with active reading will not do well on the quizzes. The midterm and final are based on lecture material, but you can pass without attending- at your own loss.

Very good professor. He intentionally designs his courses in a way that requires students to read the textbook.

Fredrick is an awful teacher, i ended up with a C- even though i did good on the quizzes and got C's on the midterm and the final, makes no sense to me. He also used the R-Word during class which was very immature and unfortunate. Didn't learn really anything in the class because he rants, and good luck taking notes he talks really fast.

This class was way to hard for a darn GE! 50 pages of reading every week for quizzes that have completely irrelevant questions on them! Even when you read EVERY page the class is still so challenging! I get really good grades and studied my butt off and still only got a C! And didn't learn much history either...

good natured and easy to understand. You have to work for a good grade though. tests are all lecture based, and weekly quizes on the book. I had to read the chapters twice to do well on the quizes, they were very difficult.

this professor suffers from mental masturbation. He talks fast, doesn't like to go over what he just speed-talked through. his exams ask irrelevant stuff. Students have to end up obsessing about what irrelevant question might be asked instead of learning history.

Very unhelpful. The work is easy - no papers, the quizzes are easy if you read the material, but very ridiculous questions on the tests...

It's not like the lectures are pointless to the test material-they are the test material. And as far as picture captions, they can be informative. And if you KNOW he uses those, it shouldn't be hard.

If the 50 pages a week for quizzes aren't enough, he pulles info out of the picture captions for questions.
