He's got a Doctorate from Cornell so he knows his stuff. He's an older guy, and it shows in his thoughts and hearing. His tests are very easy, half of it is open book! A lot of people are very rude to him which is very annoying because he is very helpful and nice and will go back if you don't understand something.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!! The professor is all over the place in his thoughts. His notes are hard to take because he writes things on the board and does not tell you what they are. If you ask him a question he will answer something completely different. I would freak before each exam because I felt like he taught me nothing.

Extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Tries to learn everyone's name. Very goofy but fashionable. Writes out step-by-step instructions on the board and lets you use notes on the exams. I would love to have him again!

i have to agree with the other comments that gagan is past his prime. you can tell that he is a nice, knowledgeable man, but his lectures make no sense and his attempts to clarify only confuse the class that much more. even his assignments and test questions are very confusing. overall, the class is not hard, but you wont learn anything either.

An excellent guy who is extremely willing to help his students. Usu.gets off track, but that is because idiots ask to many unclear questions or because those who are not interested in school talk to much and try to get him off track. Very knowledgable,has a PhD from Cornell,and very eager to please, esp. in office hours!

I would reccommend this teacher because he is an easy grader. He is very knowledgeable, but has a hard time explaining what he knows. if you try, you get a good grade. tests are easy (multiple choice and optional essay) Go to class and get a good grade!

Gagan can appear to be confussed or disorganized, but he is very knowledgeable in his field. He does use real life experiences and examples when explaining something as boring as statistics. He's getting up there in age, so his class is not for the impatient nor those with short attention spands.
