Comment:

The finance department needs more professors like Kish. His exams are difficult but straight-forward and he is pretty generous with partial credit if you make a simple arithmetic mistake or something along those lines. If you actually study and/or care about finance, this class shouldn't be that bad.

Prof. Kish is a good guy when you get to know him. Definitely a difficult class, but more finance classes should be at this level of difficulty in my opinion. If you want to genuinely learn the material at a deeper level take Kish.

Kish is a good guy but is definitely the harder FIN 323 professor. You actually learn something and If you show up and pay attention you should be ok. Do the homework problem sets to study for exams.

Honestly, this guy is not that bad. Gets a bad rep, because he doesn't spoon feed his students. Computation heavy with high level explanation of the math. If you have an honest interest and can manage basic stat problems (eco45), youll crush this class.

Terrible teacher. Runs around in circles in his class and has no regard of whether or not his students are understanding the material. Tests are extremely difficult and homeworks don't make sense. Overall just a terrible experience and really put a damper on the semester

Proof that Kish sucks: 1. Only by being up his ass at office hours will you know what's going on. 2. No person with dignity will be up Kish's ass at office hours. 3. Therefore, no person with dignity will do well in Kish's class. If you're a respectable person, this class will suck, but if you're a complete tool, this is the class for you!!!

anybody above me who ****ed should not be a finance major, yes hes difficult to communicate with but if you put forth the effort(not just do the assignment to do it, actually care about the work) and are not a total idiot you will do ok....a total meritocracy, if you have a problem with the class you should not be a finance major

It's true that Professor Kish is very tough. The work he assigns is beyond challenging at times. However, he really knows the material well and he's a fair grader unlike some other finance professors in school. In order to do well in this class, you have to work hard. don't be afraid to ask qestions in class and do go to his office hours.
