Worst academic experience. Has students figure out equations on board , instead of teaching it himself. In other words, you don't learn anything, you just get more confused. exasperating!

chemistry is a hard subject, though impossibly frustrating when taught by someone who is not interested in teaching. find a professor who is dedicated to teaching the subject instead of making students feel like they are somehow deficient

You should not take this professor if you want an easy class. Although he gives a lot of bonus points and allows take home tests/quizes, you need to put in extra time at home. He is a brilliant man, but I found him very confusing when he tried to explain things. The good thing is that he taught right from the book so there was nothing surprising.

Highly intellelectual professor! Tough class though! He tries to make it understandable, but in order to get a good grade, (Or even Pass!!), you will have to work you butt off!! Very challenging and interesting though.

Top-notch professor! Shows genuine, earnest concern for the learning and academic growth of his students. His excitement for the subject matter definitely rubs off on the class -- uses real world problems and examples which help reinforce the concepts. The workload is very reasonable and worth the effort, though need to do the homework.

First class I have taken in 30 yrs. If I took anything away from this class it was the meaning of challenging . I believe this helped me immensely in all of my other classes at BCC. I challenged myself to get it right and the work was not at an introductory level. I have found every science class since then to test at a much easier level.
