Linke will teach you everything you need to know in the world, IF YOU LISTEN. if you don't listen, he'll make your world a living hell. so choose which side you want to be on. i am now a professional photographer and use his guidelines to this day.

Ha! I can't believe he's still there. I had him when he was going through his divorce and it was all he talked about...like he was trying to enlist everyone to hate his crazy wife. Girlfriend knew what she was doing when she left him! He makes Gordon Ramsey look like Ghandi. What a narcissistic freak. PS: he only did b&w back in the day.

Took Linke for a Beginner Photo Course and would have him for any course where he teaches. He is serious and passionate about photography, so he expects this of his students. He is funny, irreverent and smart as hell. If you enjoy learning, can laugh and take (learn how to handle) criticism, take his course.

For all those who say Linke is 'the worst/meanest' prof out there, they are extremely close-minded. They have no appreciation for his experience and assistance, he is only trying to make you a better photographer and if your photos suck, who else better to tell you!? I have learned an amazing amount from linke and am going to continue photography

I took Beginning Photography Geat Professor, learn a lot. Don't ever miss a class or else drop one grade level. I actually learn how to become great photographer by seeing the exmples he show us in class. And the materials is cheaper than advance photography.

Despite what the other guy said, he does not have a problem with B&W photo but darkroom photo. He's pompous as hell but hilarious about him. If you have a good sense of humor you'll do fine in his class. He doesn't hold back with criticism, but if you don't take yourself to seriously you'll really enjoy the knowledge and experience he has to offer.

Once you get to know him he's a funny guy and really wants to help you understand how to take photos, but for the first while it he can be tough to take. He has very high standards, but you (in the end) produce very good work. I liked him enough to take Advanced so...
