Graduated from USM 1982. He was my pre-law adviser; graduated University of Miami School of Law 1991 after both 4 years as legal specialist (71D) in US Army and graduate studies at Georgetown University. That said... students, school, state, and our country are lucky to have him... man and mind... serving, working for us. Enough said.

I got an A in this class (People and Politics). I have no idea what the class was all about, though. He is obviously a brilliant guy, but this class was a total waste. I recommend a lot of participation to steer him in a comprehensible direction.

Professor Maiman is one of USM's most amazing professors. He is helpful, understanding, and definitely cares about your performance and improvement. I highly recommend this professor. After being in one of his classes, I just had to sign up for more! Show him the respect he deserves & he won't turn you down. You just got to love this man!

I have taken many, many classes with Maiman. He is a great guy, and a fabulous professor. He is smart and funny. True that sometimes his classes are a bit boring. Like I said, I have taken lots of classes with him, and I always learn a lot. He is very helpful, and a real nice guy. Loves to talk.

SIMPLY THE BEST! Such a good guy. Was not sure at first, sometimes underminds the student in their writting, but turned out to be one of the best Prof. USM has in Poli. Sci. Very interested in you as a student and goes out of his way to make sure you are progressing. Take advantage of his editing session, guranteed A! :)

I love this class. He's nice and requires "a lot" of written work, but is not a hard grader when you give him what he wants (double-space, word count, etc) I think he looks like the district attorney from law and order. ;)
