Comment:

Good guy but his lectures are hard to follow and some what disorganized. You need to take very good notes because he does not provide his lecture power points or any other material to study or refer back to. Sometimes babbles on irrelevant topics, and tests seem to be sometimes concentrated on topics he made seem not very important.

I don't know why everyone is saying that Dr. Miles is not helpful. I spent hours in his office as he slowly helped me work through concepts and the math problems. He went out of his way to NOT make me feel dumb for not understanding. He is one of the only teachers at UF that has made me feel like he really cared about me as a student.

Horrible class, waste of money. His lectures are random and disjointed. Tests supposedly come from powerpoint material, but many times seem random. He is very rude when students ask questions, talking down on them often. Horrible grammar which often makes his tests difficult. TAKE BRENDEMUHL! Just make sure to attend class..24 bonus points!

Very helpful and funny professor. He has a genuine interest in the class and wants everyone to succeed. No textbook used. Test material comes directly from his lectures in class. Attendance not mandatory but you get 24 extra credit points to your grade just for attending.

An absolute joke. You have to be borderline retarded not to do well in this class. His tests are extremely basic and easy. Dr. Miles however, is very unorganized and his lectures are chaotic. He is a bit of a snob and can be a bit rude.

Attendence is not mandatory but he gives you 20 points straight to your final grade if you're there on days he checks. He's a great teacher, very funny. Tests are a bit tough though, he uses increase/decrease questions which are hard. Overall, great class. would definitely recommend.

I didn't find his class difficult at all. He gives extra credit for going to class, and his tests are based solely on his lecture notes. His lectures can be a bit chaotic, though. The nutrional math was the most difficult part, and it wasn't that bad, he gives plenty of problems for practice!

I enjoyed him for animal nutrition. He asks very specific questions almost like trivia questions. His powerpoints are unorganized but its okay because the information is pretty straight foward and intresting. The hardest part of the class is at the very end which is all the nutrition math. Dont be scared of taking him, hes a good teacher.

Excellent professor! Attendance is not mandatory, but you'll want to come to class in order to do well on his exams (he does like details)! Although information may seem random and unorganized, he has his own way of making the class interesting and memorable. A lot of things you do need to memorize, but learning is key! I recommend Dr. Miles!

He is a great teacher. His exams are very specific, but if you go to class and take good notes, you will do fine on his exams. Works well with students and lectures aren't too bad at all. Good class. Ignore the bad things people say about him. If you are a good note taker, and a descent test taker, you'll be fine.
