Comment:

Dr. Norton is a great person but his teaching was way too unorganized. I was able to teach most of the concepts to myself, but the tests were still very challenging. His lectures would confuse me more often than they would help, but luckily all of the quizzes were take-home and this can help boost your grade.

Comment:

Professor Norton is one of the best professors and caring guys on campus. He is teaching organic chemistry, so it is not an easy class, but he does his best to adjust to the class. He is always available outside of class for extra help and his test were straightforward. Definitely would recommend him.

Comment:

Class is not as difficult as it is hyped up to be. Prof. Norton is really good at teaching the material and he likes to teach it. He gives quizzes approx. once a week and sometimes they are take home. No homework, but he gives practice problems. Tests will be challenging, but if you study you can get very respectable grades. Highly recommend

He's a great professor!! A very hard class but he makes it easy to listen and understand the material. I took it during the summer and he understood how hard it was going to be. He's a great guy that really cares about his students! Take him for any science class you take!!

Professor Norton is your best chance of learning chemistry. He's an old school type of teacher, so he writes out everything on the board and then goes over it with the lecture. The exams are fair, homework is extra credit only, lots of easy quizzes and he isn't strict with the labs and reports. He's a funny and nice guy, you'll love him.

Lets just say Professor Norton is a "different" guy. Hes a little loopy but really nice. He puts the notes for his lecture on the board before class so if you get there early you can copy them down and just listen the rest of class. Tests are hard, labs are graded easily, homework is extra credit, and there r quizzes every week which are easy. Take

Awesome guy and a great professor too. I had him for chem 1 (which is not his subject of interest) and he managed to make the class fun and enjoyable. Tests can be hard. Alota easy quizes though. I'd recommend Norton for any class you can get with him.

I agree with the previous rater. He is professor to take! I didn't like Org I, but when I came to Org II, with him teaching it, he made it interesting! I still don't love it though:P. He's helpful and tries to make the class fun. He gives quizzes. The class isn't EASY but it's less torture with him. I think he's more clear than other professors.

If you have to take o chem, he is the guy to take. I took this class in the summer and got a B+ so if you take him in the normal semester and do the homework your sure to get an A. Get to class early cause he basically tells you what is on the quiz.
