Very poor professor. Probably a nice guy, but second worst professor out of 7 I have had at UWM. (worst is Katie Mosack) Overhead lecture outlines are a joke. They're one-worders and he expects you to apply one term to several paragraphs of information which he regurgitates in a very disorganized manner. Time for him to retire, which is what he did

Funny, likable guy. You must go to lecture and take good notes, AND use the text. He doesn't post notes or use visual aids aside from sparse overhead notes. TAs relied on to teach a lot of the material. TA Jordan not helpful, didn't seem to care at all. Class requires a little effort, but is much more interesting than other personality classes.

one of the worst teachers i've ever had. i wish i had a different professor because i might have to retake this class since it's my major. he used an over head in a huge lecture hall, and i didn't get anything out of it.

Nice guy but lousy professor. It kills me that he uses an overhead, plus his notes are a joke so you can't study for the lecture part of tests anyway. Everyone would have done sooo much better on tests if he could have used powerpoint notes and posted online. My TA was useless, too. Good class, just needs a different instructor.

Pretty laid back and knew what he was talking about; tests are a beast unless you go to class - 50/50 book/lecture, and the lecture portions are extremely specific. Good professor, but going to class is pretty important.

The professor is very knowledgeable and good at what he does. I just don't like that he uses an overhead instead of powerpoint. Overall, the class is ok, but if you are really interested in the subject then you'll like the class!

God I wish he used PowerPoint. His lectures are hard to follow at times and build on each other. DO NOT MISS LECTURE OR ZONE OUT...EVER! He seems like a brilliant person, I just wish he could convey his intelligence to his students better. I'm going to take his Child Psych class. Child psych seems to be his specialty.

Interesting lectures, fair tests, puts a funny answer down for almost every question on the test to ease nerves. I highly recommend this professor for any class he teaches!
