Hes a good, tough professor who tries to crack jokes. He doesnt overload on work but theres technically homework everyday youre supposed to do but he is fair and makes you turn it in with the paper. Therefor, you have time to do everything and its easy.

Richard thinks hes funny but he is not. But pretty cool. talks about non sense during his lectures. Lets his classes early real early which is a plus. Gives a lot of homework and a few papers during semester

I appreciated having prof Rick. It is a challenge but, it pushes you to do better. If you're looking for an easy A don't register. If you're looking for an opportunity to become a more thorough reader and writer try him out. Taking his class will train you on thinking outside of the box.

He's eclectic, makes you think outside the box, if you're looking for a more traditional class/ corrections and grammatical feedback, hes NOT for you. Only 3 papers, simple enough if you gear more towards his thinking (very left field) but he grows on you and I was glad I took him.

Totally ridiculous class. Not a normal English class. It was very hard to do well in this class because its his way or the highway. You can answer a question correctly and he will say no that's wrong and then repeat the exact same answer. Its impossible to get an A+ on a paper if you haven't written his brain out in words.

He's a little challenging but if you keep up with your work it pays off. Definitely do not skip class, especially on the day a paper is due because he DOES NOT accept late papers no matter what! As long as you keep up with the reading you can avoid quizzes altogether.

Overall a great professor and I would recommend taking him for English class. If you are always on time, never absent, and keep up with your work you'll surely pass. Anyone who says he's poor then they're most likely the ones who never came to his class or engaged in class discussions.

Horrendous. Absolutely painful. His views are not backed up by any sort of evidence and he presents them as fact. If you dare call out his so called "facts," and show how much of it is opinion that should not have any place in a classroom, he whines and, in my case, finds a way to get you. This isn't coming from a lazy student, I have a 3.9.

Very engaging and fun professor. He doesn't tolerate lateness, cell phones, etc., but if you show an interest and put forth effort, you will succeed. I impressed him by having well-reasoned philosophical/political arguments with him, and he, despite disagreeing with me on everything, treated me respect. Of course I also did the work.
