Well, I was gonna say some negative stuff about this guy, but it's all been said already and 99% of it is true. Doesn't count attendance, but yells if you're 30 seconds late. Speaks in gibberish and the grading is only 4 tests. I came to every meeting and contributed a lot, and the guy couldn't bump my C+ up to a B. Friendly, yeah. But unbearable.

Worst class I have ever taken! Only four exams and if you fail he says to change your studying habits. He speaks very quickly and it is difficult to take notes. Do NOT recommend!

awful professor, very unhelpful and unwilling to work with you. Says he doesnt count attendance but def takes note if you are not there. Tests are HARD even with studying all the material given. Gives a ton of reading for homework each class. Made the class much harder than any 100 level should be. I would not recommend taking him!

Awful professor. Doesn't teach what is actually on the test. He doesn't care if you are struggling or failing. He will just tell you " do better on the next one ". If you are looking to actually learn do not take him. He shouldn't even be teaching.

Rumana was mean for the first couple weeks, he would tell people coming in 3 minutes late to leave. As time went on he became nicer. He doesn't count attendance. He tells you exactly what to read for each exam. Your grade is based only on 4 tests, thats it. So its best to only go to the class before the tests, because its a "review".

I seriously did learn a lot from him, except his teaching style was not my learning style. 4 tests, doesnt take attendence. Ive attended every class and i still think i failed. If you are the student who can memorize articles and understand them without any problem he is the prof for you, If not ur screwed.

Ok, so normall I never have a problem with a professor but this guys sucks. He doesnt give extra credit, doesnt give class participation and on top of that his tests are nothing but true and false..not required to go to class but other than that the class is boring. totally opinated professor! would not recommend taking him...

This class was the greatest class i have ever taken. If you are interested in the existence of god and the religions of the world take him. Many other student weren't able to connect the readings with the lectures. He tells you you dont have to come to class, but if you want to pass you have to go. I LEARNED SO MUCH FROM THIS GUY. (Dont sleep in his class, he will scream at you and ask you to not come back)

nice guy, told us exactly where the test ques came from, listened objectively to everyones arguments, doesn't take attendance--just don't come late. he had a tendency to mumble but it wasnt too bad. realized that most ppl didnt want to take the class so didnt go too indepth, just gave a broad base of knowledge. an easy a for me, i'd reccommend him.

doesnt take attendance, gives u the paragraphs you need to study for the exam, and if u study it well youll be fine. just show up to class the day before the exam for the review. Honestly, it was one of the easiest classes i have taken so far

You take four tests in this class if you pass them your good if you dont... there is nothing you can do. He is not helpful in any way. The worst professor i have had yet and i wouldnt take him again.EVER! He doesnt care if you come to class but you have to be there on test days, what you talk about in class has nothing to do with whats on the tests

A lot of people don't quite get Dr. Rumana. If you have a passion for learning and you like to join class discussions you will like this class. His class is quite tough - but that's life..and this is college. He's an intellect, and he upholds a certain level of respect in class. If you're not willing to work hard, don't take his class.

Comment:

Tough guy to figure out. Often seems irritated. Not sure he really likes what he is doing. Seemed allergic to strivers and loafers equally, so in that sense was equitable. Was not a class I looked forward to. Can get a good grade if you work hard on paper and study for tests, but don't expect inspiration.
