TAKE HIM-I agree with the comments below- he is ONE KEWL KAT- He's funny, and smart, and will make you work for your grade. Just do it and don't wimp out. He's not going to be teaching Global Climate change in the fall, but whether you take Sedlock in another course, or just take Climate in Fall 09, you can't lose- They are both winners!

TAKE HIM- He's great. Is CLEAR, explains things well, has an excellent sense of humor and knows his stuff. Just do what he asks on the greensheet and you'll be fine. Too bad for SJSU that he'snot teaching this class anymore, but whatever class he teaches, you'll both be winners.

Richard and Alex were a great team. Best class I have taken at SJSU. Richard loves his material and explains it so well that you end up loving it too. Great teacher, easy going, fun guy, explains clearly, helps students when needed. Take this class, it's great!!!

He demands excellence, but you'll want to work hard for him because he's such a great professor. He's very passionate about his subject, and he puts a LOT of effort into making sure that everyone understands what he's talking about. He'll challenge you with new and exciting lectures. I loved his class- he's so incredibly corny and dorky!

If you take this class, be prepared to work at least twice as hard as in your other classes. The amount of reading in this class is unreasonable, and it will all be in your exams (essays), which are cumulative. The results of the 100W essay in the beginning will be shocking for many. Sedlock is a good lecturer, though.

Richard is a great teacher. He's very dorky-fabulous, in a way that can make anyone laugh. More importantly, he makes the subject matter interesting. Parts of the class are really easy, like the lecture material. The labs are difficult but only because the lab book is incomprehensible. Tests are fair and he grades pretty leniently.

AWESOME AND HILARIOUS TEACHER!!! I ACTUALLY THOUGHT ABOUT SWITCHING MAJORS TO GEOLOGY BECUASE HE MAKES IT SO FUN AND INTERESTING. SERIOUSLY ONE OF THE BEST TEACHERS I'VE HAD AT SJSU. I ACTUALLY FELT BAD ABOUT MISSING HIS LECTURES BECAUSE I FELT LIKE I MISSED OUT ON THE FUN INSTEAD OF THE MATERIAL.

This guy is by far the best teacher to have at sjsu. he actually makes the material seem like childs play. very easy to understand, tests are pretty straight forward. if u can, get this guy for the class and the lab.

No Stress in this class. he gives you notes so you don't have to take notes. lecture is just watching videos, looking at cool pictures, and learning a lot of cool stuff. He also treats you like an adult so u can talk with him reasonably. Labs are easy but some of the lab teachers are kinda shady.
