Phenomenal professor! Lots of reading but he explains it in ways you?d never think of, and most of the readings are pretty interesting. I would recommend him to anyone. Exams are tough, but if you read the assignments you?ll be fine.

Greek mythology....HARD! I didn't have a clue as to how I would make it through...but I did. I don't think any other Eng Lit would have been any easier so I stuck with it. I never read anything like this before. Lots of reading. Essay questions on exam, hard! Challenging...take it if you like challenging! He's cool

I would sugest not taking this class if you aren't big into Greek Mythology. It was difficult staying interested in the reading material especially since it is all in greek poem format. There are probably easier 200 level english classes to fulfil the general education requirement.

very intelligent and passionate. knows his stuff. expects a lot from you, but if you buckle down and do it, you will be fine. get a rough draft done ealry cuz sometimes he will look it over for you and give you feed back which REALLY helps. made me a much better writer.

He makes you do the thinking, and his interpretations are always right, just hard to understand sometimes, he always has evidence to back it up. Oh and his style isnt that bad, better than most professors. Very smart man and grades pretty easy, atleast for 200 level

He says um A LOT. The classes are really boring and repetitive. He is supposed to be teaching us how to write, but really he just goes on and on about critical thinking. It took him like 3-4 weeks to get our first paper back to us. Not incredibly hard, but definitely not the greatest eng prof.

It takes a little while to get used to his teaching stlye because he doesn't just give you info to memorize. He guides you through a piece of Lit than expects you to be able to futher analize it yourself. He difinitely furthered my abilities in understanding Lit.

He is the most effective teacher I have ever had. His class isn't easy, but learning shouldn't be! His in-class discussions helped me to understand the material better than I expected. To him, there are no right or wrong answers, only answers that can be supported or not. I liked it a lot!!!

Excellent teacher! He makes you work but he's always available to help you out. Encourages students and is willing to help them grow. I would highly reccomend him. He's very flexible and you can always talk to him if something comes up and you don't meet a deadline.
