Mr. Wolf is kind of a tough grader, but he just wants his students to care/learn. I'm not a huge fan of history but he made it interesting by speaking passionately about it. He also tries to make class discussions fun by adding political cartoons before class. The only thing I didn't like was that there were not many chances to improve your grade.

I got a D on my first paper for him. That was a wake up call. He not only helped me get my grade to an A but I am now in law school on a large scholarship. His blunt grading and helpful hand turned my work ethic around. Take him only if you are willing to learn and work. You want an easy A go else where

If you're just taking this class for credit and aren't interested in history, it will be pretty boring. Prof. Wolf lectures for the whole class, every time, and there's little variety. That said, he is very knowledgeable, passionate, and is an easy grader on papers and tests. He made it easy to pass the class, which is all I could've asked for.

I really liked Richard Wolf, he is actually pretty funny if you like dad jokes. HE IS A TOUGH GRADER. I've never gotten anything lower than an A on a paper and he gave a C. Study for the tests and participate in class and this is an easy A/B.

All in all Mr. Wolf is a good teacher. If you are a good note taker you will do fine; he moves through lectures very fast. Keep up! He doesn't mind you recording audio of lectures as long as you ask first. You will need the books that he tells you to get.

Good teacher, good lectures. Have a study group, its very helpful. However, he DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE HARD WORK YOU DO. Hell gave you a B even though you had a B+. If you are plaining to get a B and not achieve the A, do the usual work, because if you get 89% of the grading, he will still give you B. .9% of the work you do will go to the trash.

Long, boring, mundane lectures, but overall he get's the necessary material across you'll need to succeed. Be sure to attend class to get the necessary material to pass the quizzes, but it will also help with your papers you will be required to turn in. Turn in all papers on time, attend lecture and you will be just fine.

Class Grade Criteria: Three 4-page essays, 15% each. Random, open-note pop-quizzes based on homework and lecture, 5%. One midterm where he gives you 5 vocab words to write about and then an essay topic. Homework once a week, 15%. Final is non-cumulative, same as midterm, 20%. Fair grader if you work hard. An A is 90-100%, B is 80-90%. Easy A.

Honestly, just show up to class, take notes, listen to the lecture, and know how to type a Chicago-styled essay. If you do all these things you are guaranteed to pass this class. Wolf was one of my favorite professors here at the CC. Would recommend to anyone.

Professor Wolf is a nice teacher. He expects student to do UC level work. The tutor and professor helped me improve my grade. Class notes and text book are critical for midtermfinal. Lectures are long but he breaks them up by using movie clips and using current events to relate the information. Three essays, quizzes, and two in class essays.

I would recommend this class if you're more of a writer than a multiple choice test taker. 3 essays, 1 midterm, and 1 final; all are essay format. He's a pretty tough grader but you should probably know how to write a solid essay by now. He has pop quizzes every so often and offered a good amount of extra credit by the end of the semester. Try hard

Wolf is such a nice guy! He genuinely cares about your success if you're willing to put in the effort. This class is something that you have to work for... not the easiest A. He is a tough essay grader! But you will learn a lot. His voice can be a little monotone at times, but it's not too hard to follow along. Show up to class and be on time!

Wolf is my favorite! One of the best teachers I've ever had. His class can be difficult and he is a tough grader when it comes to the essays, but he is very specific about what he expects! He is so sweet and makes the class interesting. Always show up to class because he will give surprise quizzes. I definitely recommend him!

As long as you show up to class and take notes during the lectures you should be fine. Didn't use the books a whole lot but he's always willing to answer questions. Mostly lecture/videos with a few "quizzes" which are open note. Lots of writing. Nice and respectable professor.

He's an intelligent man that is interested in history, but a hard grader on your essays. He asks for a specific structure on the essays so if you follow that you'll be fine. The exams are a lot to know so study hard and try not to miss class because the lectures help. He doesn't really use the book.

This class is overall not very hard, and Wolf is helpful and approachable. He likes papers written a certain way, if you cover what he says he wanted talked about in class you will do well. More than happy to meet with you if you need help. He actually cares and won't make you feel stupid. Easy quizzes, just show up to class.

Wolf is dope! He speaks in a mono-tone but tries to stay enthusiastic by raising his voice during the important parts of the lecture, so if you find your-self day dreaming you can still catch the important things.
