Worst class ever. DO NOT TAKE! Haven't learned one thing from this class. I've never had a class where everyone leaves the room and starts talking about how horrible the professor is until now. This class is a monumental waste of time and might kill your GPA thanks to his arbitrary grading system. I'd change my major before taking this man again.

RUN. Don't even consider taking this man. And don't think that people are overreacting about him, I just assumed he would be tough but it would be do-able. WRONG. Lowndes Stephens is the most difficult man I have ever met! He was completely unclear about everything in class, even when he "tried" to understand, he only ended up making things worse. He took 30 POINTS OFF a project of mine for doing exactly what he advised me to do and when I confronted him, he only laughed and seemed happy he had lied to me

The worst professor I have ever had. He does not care about students, makes inappropriate comments and invades personal space. His lectures do NOT make sense. Everything I learned I taught myself. He should not teach any class. PlEASE do not take this class! I have never been more frustrated and grossed out by a professor.

AKA Lowndes Stephens, if anyone's trying to find this guy and it comes up as Stephens, L. I have mixed opinions about him...He tried to help (by not making us do a research paper) but he is unclear, uninteresting, and seems to think that using baby-talk will help get the point across. I'd suggest trying to get someone else.

I dont know why everyone hates him. I got an A. His tests are really easy. Dont buy the book, all of the questions come straight from the notes on Blackboard. Yeah it takes a long time to do the research paper but this is college ppl! his class is the 1st of many you will write a 15 pg paper for. I feel more prepared for grad school b/c of him.

The worst teacher i have ever had. He does not care about his students, and no one could ever make sence of what he talked about. STAY AWAY. My class started out with 30 people in it, by the time of our first test there were only 12. I was lucky i got a C+. I would change majors before taking him again for anything.

This guy was so bad that I had to drop the course the day before WF. All he did in lecture was talk about Econ and Hurricane Katrina. Oh, and show off his computer programs. WTF? NOT helpful in the least, rude, and NOBODY had a clue what was going on. If this is the only professor teaching this class, I might be tempted to change majors.

We were supposed to have a dif professor and ended up with him because she went to harvard to finish her masters. Thanks a bunch! I am taking the first test right now and im almost in tears. Not a single person knows what he expects of us and when you ask him, he says to read the syllabus. Problem is the syllabus is worthless and outdated!

This guy is so smart that its difficult for him to teach. Study the handouts only, his lectures have nothing to do with class. You will do better than you think you will. He will invade your personal space, but he's just a little weird, so you have to get used to it. Bad class, but not horrible. Boring and he takes attendance.

This guy is crazy! He's one of those guys who are so smart, they're crazy. Rating may be bad,but i recommend him. Tests can be tough. I thought I was gonna get a C, but Lord Jesus i got a B+! I don't know how it happened. If you study the book, and not him, you'll be fine, honestly. Take GOOD notes on those sources. And don't procrastinate.
