I absolutely love Dr. K. She has a passion for the subject, and has a career as a psychiatrist as well as professor, so she knows what she's talking about. Participate in class and she will know you by name and LIKE you. If you have a passion for abnormal psych or involvement of your own in your personal life, you will like her, and love the class.

At times she cuts you off if she thinks she knows what you're going to say and makes comments that just aren't necessary. I don't think she intends to, but she comes off as very rude at times. She say's she understands life happens but when you actually tell her something is going on she is condescending.

I had Dr. K for the class associated with the internship and I really enjoyed it. She truly does care about her students and is willing to help you in any aspect of your life at Westfield State. Make sure to stay on her good side and make sure that your writing is top notch; grammar is really important to her.

Does not present a difficult class, but she is quite condescending and disrespectful. Ricki Kantrowitz is very knowledgeable and experienced in regards to psychology. However her knowledge and experience is often drowned out by her rude presentation. I was interested in the class offered, but my interest was killed by her demeanor.

I took her Cross Cultural Psychology course on Semester at Sea. She is a wonderful professor who really cares about her student's success. Knows how to teach in an interesting way, although class was mostly lecture based. Mix of papers, tests and a group presentation. Tests were straight-forward and fair.

Hands down my favorite professor at WSU. She wasn't my adviser but she may as well have been. I had her for Abnormal and she made the class interesting. You can see her enthusiasm throughout the semester. I can't say enough nice things about this wonderful professor. Definitely take her class!

I had Ricki many years ago - back in the '90s! She was PHENOMENAL. I took every class of hers that I could fit into my schedule. She was also my advisor. She is smart, caring and has a wealth of experience any student of the science can benefit from.
