What an incredible professor! Rita explained psycholinguistics to the class in ONE lecture, and before that I wasted a whole semester trying to understand it in Brian McElree's class. That said, she's a great teacher. What an asset to NYU.Very fun class, lots of reading, but you'll learn tons. One of the best psych class I took @ NYU! I miss her!

She does want her students to think, yet she stifles what everyone has to say with some research that SHE has conducted already.(sometimes missing your point completely) She has a huge ego. I certainly wanted to learn and work and didn't expect an easy A, but she was very reluctant to help and listen. She has biases towards some students. MusicPsyc

I loved this Professor. The students that complain about her are most likely "idiots" just because she wants her students to "think" she is hailed as this horrible professor. I really enjoyed her class and I learned a great deal. Take this class if you are not afraid of learning by working and are not in it for an easy A.
