If you can avoid taking Bromley DO SO!! He's a horrible professor and really should just retire already. SO many papers to write and he grades hard. Exams are tough. He does give a lot of extra credit, so take that seriously because you'll need it. SO thankful that I don't have to take another class with this guy. Hate this class because of him.

Bromley is extremely unclear about his expectations for the class and any assignments. He assigns a lot of papers and makes students grade each other on them. If you pay attention and work VERY hard you will do fine, but be prepared to put in a lot of time. The extra credit will save your grade, so take it seriously.

Homework and attendance is not mandatory. Graded only on exams and on cases. Going to class is not helpful, you do not learn anything. Tries to confuse you on exams. Exams are very hard. Very nice guy and gives extra credit quizzes but is a terrible professor. Expect to teach yourself Very hard class to pass.

Great prof. It's a hard class, but he is very helpful. Exams are hard but there are a lot of points in the class and he curves. As long as you turn in all assignments, participate in class, and do the online quizzes, you'll be fine!

Nice guy. Awful prof. He is unclear and unorganized, yet expects your work to be immaculate... I don't have a lot of respect for that. He tries to confuse you on exams and is just generally inconsistent in his teaching. I wish there was a book to follow rather than a jumbled mess of a course pack. He should not be allowed to teach accounting courses.

It's a serious shame I learned more about his conservative christian beliefs this semester than I did about accounting. Class time being spent comparing poor accounting to obama-care, or how abortion is a similar ethical problem to bad accounting practice is just bad teaching. On the last exam I scored in the top third of his class, WITH A D.

If you're not a Accounting major and not a interested in accounting and don't understand it, be prepared to work your butt off in his class. He means well and is a super nice guy, he just isn't the best accounting teacher out there. Lots of extra credit, and homework to help your grade. Try getting around this guy if you can.

The class was not hard but a ton of work. Be prepared to spend at least a couple of hours on homework every night. The content of the class was somewhat interesting but the work this professor gave was a bunch of busy work for the most part.

This class is not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Do all the homework and reading. Always offers extra points on practically every assignment. Do the practice quizes for each exam because you will see a lot of those questions on the exams. Basically if you keep on top of the material and study hard for the exams you will do okay.

How to do well: Go to every class, do the boring coursepack notes online, do every SAP assignment (Do them early, not difficult but time consuming), answer questions in class (easy points), study/take online quizzes (very helpful for the exams), stay optimistic. Tough course, CPA exam questions. Learn a lot (very helpful for ACC531). Nice/kind Prof

professor bromley is the worst professor ever! no, clarity on projects and grades horribly. oh and found out afterwards that the majority of papers were graded by a cohort that is in the same class as me now. don't understand how a fellow mba student can grade others papers.

Week1 Assign: Write essay on SOX. He posted Code matl as is & we were to write essay higlighting 40 points. Not a word of instruction on the matl. He refused to provide more details. Week 7 he flung 160 page doc on COSO-same story as SOX. & essays on business process each week. & I came to learn hands on SAP?? HOLY CRAP. AVOID AVOID BY ALL MEANS

Don't take this class unless you want to study about 10 hours per week. One can learn a lot from this guy but he made us work. I want to pass the CPA exam so the class is worth the effort. SAP is also a skill that makes me more marketable. His course pack was used instead of a text book. It was cheep and more up-to-date than a text book could be.

This class is very challenging, requiring you to memorize flowcharts for business processes that aren't much used anymore. Very nice professor, though he goes a bit far into politics sometimes. Ends the semester with HTML coding, which is super easy compared to the middle part with the cycles. You will need to study the cycles like crazy!

Professor Bromley has got to be one of the absolute HARDEST professors in the accounting department. At least 1 essay/case every week. No book in the class just course pack. He grades his cases on what you miss, not what you have in it. Worked on a case for almost 4 hrs, 9 pages long, received a wonderful 3/17. If you want to kill your GPA take him

He was really helpful but I had a lot of issues in this class. He doesn't allow enough time for you to take exams. Attendance isn't mandatory but once grades start slipping he starts to give extra credit quizes at the end. A lot of material and final is cumulative for this course. He did care about students though and he "wanted" to help.

Bromley did not teach anything that was on any of his exams. I went to class every day and actually learned something only once or twice. He is not helpful at all if you go meet him outside of class. The only good thing he did in the class was offer extra credit.

Only a course pack & you'll really work for your grade. However, there are many opportunities to earn extra credit if you?re willing to put in additional time working on assignments. If you take this class in the summer, don't take another class with it. The workload is pretty intense. Rewrite course pack notes 4 exams & take optional quizzes.
