Welker is very out there and weird. I did not enjoy his class at all. Too much reading and teaches at a higher education level. Being a Freshman when I had him, the material was hard due to the fact he was teaching us material and making us do projects that are at a higher education level. I do not suggest him.

Professor Welker is an Icon! I am reminded of his mentor Bernie Mehl who would say to his student, do you just want to write a thesis or do you want to leave a legacy. Well, Mr. Welker is leaving a legacy and I for one am proud to know him!!!!!! s.

Reading Kozol's book in Dr. Welker's class in the fall of 1996 made me want to leave teaching, unfortunately, and I did change my major. After several years, however, I am teaching high school, and I'm frequently reminded of the compassion and level-headedness a teacher must have to be effective.

To say Dr. Welker is passionate is an understatement. He is most caring adn motivating professor on this campus. Although tough, his classes are so intriguing. I will admit, you have to like his personality to appreciate him.
