Comment:

Allison does an excellent job picking out relevant texts and answers questions thoroughly. His lectures are really interesting, he just speaks quietly, so sit in front. He doesn't stick with the syllabus, but he'll accept things late so it doesn't really matter. Paper guidelines may seem intimidating but he's really generous with grades at the end.

AS much as everyone doesn't approve his teaching, you have to admit that he knows his stuff and hes respects those who try and show up to his class. When I really needed help on a paper, I went to him and he helped me out a lot. He isnt the best teacher or the most exciting lecturer, but he is not as bad as everyone thinks.

terrible. sitting through his class will ruin your day - having to do it 3x a week... he keeps you over class time on average of 10 minutes sometimes because he means to, other times because he mixes up the time - take caspi instead.

This man is terrible. Don't take this class unless you hate yourself and don't value your time. It's not easy or fun or worthwhile. Learn about the Bible on your own. Also, I was kidding about Bob being hott.

This was the worst class I have taken at Bates (intro to new testament). It was boring, the grading was harsh, and he was very unhelpful when approached. He also did not follow the syllabus as he presented it, and our grades all suffered because of it.

I have never been more bored in a class. I'd be wide awake for my 8AM class, and show up for Bob at 9:30 and just drift away. He's like David the Gnome on Valium.
