Got an A but no thanks to any of his lectures, he just talks for a short while and then gives us readings that are vague and long. I knew most of the material because it was general and had been covered in other courses, didn't really learn anything especially since some of the papers he made us read are wrong or disproved. Disappointing class.

PLEASE DO NOT TAKE ROBERT. I can't stress this enough, he's literally given up on teaching!! he was absent 4 times this semester, gave us 1 hour "lectures" that covered NOTHING and then sent us off to do over 100 pages of reading per each week but his test were overly specific HE DOES NOT WANT TO TEACH AND YOU CANNOT PASS WITHOUT EXTREME EFFORTS

Abnormal Psych was great. Made me want to get out of bed in the morning which is rare for a liberal arts class.

Very structured classes. Almost every session is about an hour of lecture followed by student presentations, then ends early. He is very clear in evaluating the readings and the lectures are fun to listen to. Tests are pretty easy if you take good notes. Definitely worth taking.

The readings are interesting. However, my interest was diminished by his ego, and 'holier than thou' attitude. Seemingly "book" smart, the lectures are a regurgitation of the readings. Ask for his own insight and he acts as though you are a complete idiot. Seems this is because his own thoughts on the issues at hand, are underdeveloped, or unorigin

Never learned anyone's name in class, doesn't take attendance, when students were presenting he sat behind them as they faced the class(rude), and thinks freud is the end-all know-all. Didn't give any individual investment into students. No class discussion, just lecture.

Ausch thinks very highly of his own PhD which is a common accomplishment at Pratt, however he enjoys giving 10 trick questions since grading actual written answers would be too much trouble for him. He likes to complain about society's insistence on test-giving/taking however he does precisely this. Save yourself the aggravation take another class

Very interesting class...you will do well if you just study for the tests. The homework is a lot of reading, but sometimes it is interesting material. He knows what he is talking about and is pretty straight to the point with what you will need to know to do well in the class. I would recommend this class.

Interesting class. He's very clear with the information and schedule. I recommend taking him. His tests are clear and pretty simple as long as you either read and/or take notes. Listen carefully and you'll do well.

Robert is pretty difficult-which is good since not many teachers are at Pratt, and he has an incredible amount of information about the world today which he relates to classical and more contemporary philosophers. An intense, but fulfilling course.
