Course was super difficult in my opinion, but good prof. He explains everything very well and does tons of demos. The midterms and final were absolute nightmares though. Take the course only if you have to - but if you do, take it with this prof.

Very thorough, very helpful and funny prof. I'm glad to see that I have him again for my second semester. He really did make a difficult class my favourite one. The only tests are the two (and yes, two) midterms. Quite challenging but also forgiving (i.e. bonus marks). In terms of the textbook, I found that the lecture notes were sufficient enough.

Best professor ever! He is funny, helpful, and even makes attempts to remember you (and what you struggle in). Ask him questions --he loves to answer them! And don't be shy getting to know him. By far one of the best profs many of us have taken at UW.

The most hilarious and awesome prof you'll ever have. He's also not bad at it either. The course is brutal but if you do all the coursework you should at least hopefully pass (and you don't need a 60). Having this guy as a prof is something everyone should experience.

What a great prof. Kept things interesting with enthusiastic demonstrations. Available after class, by email, and makes sure his class is ready for the final. A hard course though, oh man. You MUST study and do practice Qs. My only complaint about Mann is that he went off on tangents about the keeners' crazy, unrelated or "sophisticated" questions.

He is a crazy professor. Always does demonstration in class and brings cool tricks. He is very funny and informative. He knows the material well and does clear and easy to understand presentations. However, I find PHYS 121 hard but he is the best professor for this course of the term.

Easily one of the best professors at Waterloo. He always keeps lectures interesting and you will learn a lot. The course could be challenging but that's because it's physics, you should be expecting a challenge.
