I took a few classes with Dr. Baker, and Public Admin was my favorite. The first essay is always the hardest, and you will have to eventually get used to what he expects for papers. Dr. Baker has a lot of real-world experience, and his jokes can liven up a class. Proofread, do your reading, and ask for help when you need it.

Lecture heavy but always energized. I had this class early in the morning but stayed awake. He really kept the class's attention. However, would not recommend if you're not into politics.

Great professor! Knows his stuff and introduces easy-to-grasp theories and ideas. Average grader, lots of reading (no quizzes), two 5 page papers, and three exams. There is not a lot of out of class work. We also did a mock simulation of the Ohio State Senate which was not as intimidating as it sounds. Very accommodating for shy people too!

State and Local govt. was what I took with this Professor. A good guy overall. Really knows what he was talking about. Actually went out and did the things he teaches. Is sort of a career advisor for me now. A smart man and a good teacher to boot. Take this guys classes. They're not too hard.
