If you don't do the extra credit you're missing a chance. Lots and lots of quizzes, if you read the module then take the quiz RIGHT AFTER, you may get a passing grade. 400 point tests are ROUGH! and there are FOUR of them total! The extra credit is worth 120 points, seems like a lot but instead it'll barely bump ya. Skip this course!

He wrote the book and created the course thus bragged about it often. "Consider yourself lucky, you are the only students in America taking this specialized course." He has the right to be boastful, I suppose. Super smart guy, but cocky, arrogant and not helpful at all. Tests are 100 questions online and very specific. Do not take his classes.

If you like unneeded stress, this is the class for you! The professor removes himself from the course and you are on your own. It's time to play "where's the information" because the "teacher" has forgotten how to do so. If you survive and pass, congrats you have learned absolutely nothing to do with geography.

Don't take this class online. The professor is very unhelpful and rude. The questions are very specific and it's hard to understand. The tests are very long and painful. This class stressed me out way more than it should have. I don't recommend taking this at all.

First off, this is a meteorology class, not geography. I struggled to find a rhyme or a reason to the methods used in this class. Despite hours of notes and re-watching the materials given, his uber-specific tests make preparing hopeless. This leads to a wild goose chase through his textbook that leaves you empty handed. DO NOT TAKE!

First of all, it's a 100 level class, but it is very difficult! Secondly, none of the answers are in the textbook. Here is a quote straight from his syllabus: "Please keep in mind I have designed many quiz and test questions to prevent students from going to the textbook to hunt for the answers." Where are the answers then? Don't take online!!!!!

I warn anyone that decides to take this class online, DON'T. I have read every chapter before taking quizzes/tests and still was unable to successfully pass them. I also use the book on these quizzes and tests, which still doesn't help. The questions are designed to trick you, not test you on your knowledge of the material. 100%grade=tests/quizzes

stupidly specific test questions that all have multiple variables. guy has no clue he's teaching a 100 level course. the organization of his textbook is a little rough too. you'll have to outline the book yourself if you want to understand it all. theres tons of overlap in his writing.

Online, heading for a really good grade in the class. However, you can tell he has been teaching this class a while. In his writing, its obvious that he has convinced himself that he is right on many points, and is not willing to budge. Does have an ego, and feels justified I assume as well. Interesting course though, I enjoyed what I learned.

ANGER. its really hard to keep this comment clean. guy has a few quizzes for each test, ranging 20-40 points. those are alright. the tests are worth 400 though, and full of some pretty specific situations. yes. 400 points/test. ridiculous. ESPECIALLY FOR A 100 LEVEL ONLINE COURSE.

This class was an utter joke. The material would be completely understandable while reading it, but the quizzes were often over material that wasn't in the book. I don't mean that he didn't make the stuff easy to look up; I mean some of it was literally impossible to know. He would also argue over every single quiz question you challenged him on.

He makes you understand the material not a memorization course. I found the first test hard but after that point I understood that I had to learn about the concepts. He was very up front on how to prepare for the tests. Excellent class!

Currently taking this class online. I just thought I'd add my two cents in. This is a horrible class! It's not necessarily that the content is that hard. However, he did write the book so that sucks. I find that his tests/quizzes ask for you to be all knowing. You have to be a geologist genius to do well. Only hoping to pass at this point.

Took his online section of this course. Found it to be remarkably clear and simple to follow. He also provides the opportunity for a huge number of extra credit points. I see others complain about his online exams, however one cannot simply find the answers in a book. You must read and study and comprehend the material to pass his course.

VERY little of the material is actually reflective of the tests and quizzes. His schedule is not at all flexible to meet with students. Worst class I have ever taken and hardest too!
