Dr. Blobaum is an amazing professor! Syllabus is clear on grading. Come to class lectures, one short quiz every day on the previous lecture (easy points), read 7 books throughout the semester and write a short academic review of them. No tests, midterm, or final. Only the book reviews. Loved and learned so much from his lectures! Highly recommended

Dr. Blobaum is a very brilliant professor and teaches WWII in a very different but yet interesting way. He also has a wonderful sense of humor. His reviews on the books he assigns you can sometimes be confusing but he is a very fair grader. Best History professor I have had.

If you're a student of history, you will love this class. Blobaum explores WWII in a way that you have likely never contemplated. He's a tremendous lecturer. 7 books related to the war, review of each, daily quizzes from the previous course - it's very simple if you're interested.

Comment:

Hist 417 class offer interesting history of WWII and is very good for serious students. Prof. Blobaum is the best teacher I ever had. Prof. is always helpful, giving good advices, teaches how to write good papers. Classes never were boring.

Dr. Blobaum's 417 class is extremely rewarding for those who are serious about learning and put forth the effort. I envy his ability to drive a good discussion amongst the class. If you're just looking for credit, don't take this class. If you have a legitimate interest in WW2 and developing your own ideas about it, this is a super class!

I loved his classes on European History. His World War II in Europe class was one of the best history courses I have ever had. His knowledge of Eastern European history is really amazing. Take his classes. They are a challenge and a reward.
