Great guy despite what everyone says. Hes a strange lad, but a very thorough teacher. He'll bend over backwards to help you. As long as you do your work and pay attention, you will be fine. He tells you what to know, and by garsh, he even gives problems from the homework on the quizzes.

Well, if you enjoy having a teacher that has no intelligent grading scheme or that requires you to memorize alpha-delta definitions for every single thing and puts it on the tests and quizzes, and takes off mega points if you have the answer as decimal instead of fraction... this man is your man. He also keeps us an half an hour every other day. Good times.

Bowers is a nutcase. Same routine everyday. Brings in the red cup, sits in down, puts his books down, then plugs in his calculator. He talks to himself in class all the time and takes to long to do problems on the board. I've had calc in hs so i konw what im doing. I havent had any problems yet but the first day of class he made it evident that he is there to help anyone who needs it. Gave us a home phone number and everything. He did move by fast with the review material, 6 sections in 3 periods.

I had Bowers for calc 1 and 2. I think he is one of the best professors i have had. He does covor material fast, but is always willing to help any student, office time, in class, even at home. I would recommend anyone to take him for Calculus.
