He is a wonderful professor. Allows you to turn in work as many times as it takes in order for you to get the grade you want. Very detailed in revising your work gives you plenty to work with. Some assignments are lengthy but you will almost always earn a B and its quite easy to get an A off the first revision. Great dude. Quirky.

Professor Burns is great as a person. He's super nice and understanding. Kind of funny. Though, classes are really boring, but he doesn't really care if you're not paying attention. Weekly essays that are super easy. A midterm. A final. That's it.

This class is very easy. We only had to do 6 reading responses, a midterm in class writing (which he allowed us to revise as many times as we wanted), and the final which was two easy essays.

Youll write a lot of papers throughout the semester but never more than 4 pages at a time. The topics and usually interesting and easy to write on. He lets you re-do your papers for a higher grade however many time you want. Never gives lower than a B on an assignment. Hes a very chill and understanding professor that Id highly recommend.

Best English professor! He doesnt require you to buy the textbook and hes so kind! His humor is a bit awkward/nerdy but you will really love him. He is a tough grader but thats because hes nit picky about grammar rules. Youll definitely leave his class a better writer than you were before you came. Great professor, TAKE HIM!!

Dr. Burns is hillarious, and i would for sure take his class again. We had 3 major essays in all, and he doesnt have set due dates for any assignments. Going to class isnt really mandatory because he doesnt take attendance, but there are in-class assignments every once in a while (but you can make them up at any time).

Professor Burns is the GOAT. He lets you rewrite your papers as many times you want. His due dates are really flexible. Professor Burns offers really good feedback on your papers. I would defeintly recommend taking him. ANDDDD he is soooo cute lol

DEFINITELY TAKE HIS CLASS. Literally the best English professor I've ever had. He provides way too much feedback and gives plenty of time to correct your papers so you can get the best grade possible. The due dates for the class are fairly flexible and he tries his best to make a boring class interesting and funny. He also REALLY loves his cats.

The first few weeks we did nothing and then towards the end he loaded us with lots of work saying we were behind. He is pretty lenient on when you can turn things in but he makes you rewrite everything 3-5 times to get an A. Even when you fix some mistakes he manages to find more. He is nice and approachable but often goes off topic and rambles.

Do not wait until the end of the semester to do your assignments, as he will sometimes not have your work graded as quickly as you want. Unlimited revisions but they get annoying after not getting the grade you want. He's a nice professor with an open mind, but if you want a class with structure, AVOID this professor.

He's really unorganized and never has a solid plan for what he wants to do with his students. If you like structured classes, I wouldn't recommend him, but he does give good feedback on writing and allows unlimited revisions until you get the grade you want, so it's an easy A. He's also just a really interesting person with a cool worldview

When he graded my first assignment, I got freaked out because he wrote all over my paper with different Color Inks. He is a tough grader, but he is not one of those professors who doesn't care about student's grades. Burns is very caring. You can revise any assignment as many times as you wish. This professor knows what he is doing. TAKE HIM!!!

Professor Burns is very talented and caring. He is a tough grader, but you can literally revise and resubmit any assignment UNLIMITED TIMES during the semester. He gives you great feedback on all assignments. I would definitely take him again!

No deadline for assignments, you can turn them in whenever. Allows revisions on assignments. He takes the newest grade of revision, not the highest. He goes off topic in class a lot. Most of his assignment directions weren't clear. If you procrastinate a lot, please don't take him. He makes you work for your grades. Very tough grader!

There were 3 assignments that required you to observe your surroundings and be very detailed. (I made mine up). There were like 3-4 in class short essays you can revise and others were just participation essays. Group work was just for participation. There was an article summary and incorporating quotes and research paper. He doesn't give A+

His feedback is very detailed so all I did was fix exactly what he told me to and if I asked for an explanation he'll just tell me what to write. Give details when you write to!
