Comment:

Prof. Fritz is a nice guy. However, he likes to use technology with the class and doesn't do a very clear job of explaining how to use it. Also, if you need help, you have to ask him directly. The best bet is to talk to him in person during his office hours.

If you can avoid him, do so. He absolutely loves his technology but doesn't fully understand how to use it and isn't helpful if you're having issues. He's super frustrating at the beginning and he's gotten better as I've been sticking it out, but I would definitely recommend looking for another professor!

Avoid if at all possible. If you don't catch on to his strict lay out of the class right at the beginning, you will be screwed. He gave me a B- at the end of the semester even though my score was within his classification of a B. Not a bad professor, but how he sets up the class is HORRIBLE. Worst class I've ever taken at BSU.

I do NOT like Dr. Fritz. You really have to stay on top of the online assignments and even though attendance isn't mandatory, if you don't go you lose points using the iClicker part of the class (used every day). If you miss even one BB presentation it seriously affects your grade. He's easy to understand, but I was bored/annoyed in every class.

He expects you to jump through all kinds of technological hoops for each class. Once you figure it out it isn't that challenging, but he's still a hard grader and I didn't really learn anything. I'm usually an A student and I really doubt I'm going to get an A in this class.

You do the same thing in class EVERY DAY. He has you do a skit while he videotapes. He has you write definitions on BB and blames you because it was late, when he did not grade it in time for you to do corrections before the deadline. Horrid. Lucky to get a C, when normally I am an A student. Pointless. Didn't learn a thing. Conversation????? None.

TERRIBLE PROFESSOR! tried to tell me that i couldnt make up work for days i miss on a UNIVERSITY sponsored field trip! I printed out the page of the teacher handbook that says hes required to let me and he said "well how do you want me to do it?" and i gave him options and he said he didnt have the time or wanted the extra work of helping me. AWFUL

When does he retire again? I wouldn't wish my worst enemy to have him for a professor. Where did they find this dude? He's rude and his assignments make no sense- NOT EVEN TO HIM! The first chance you get, GET OUT and find another class. He'll literally make you HATE the entire spanish language!

Dr. Fritz speaks very clearly, so I can usually understand what he says, and seems to be a fairly pleasant person. That aside, the class is made unnecessarily complicated by having to jump through all kinds of electronic hoops to turn in homework. The work isn't difficult, but it's not really worth your time if you're serious about spanish.

If you get this professor I HIGHLY RECOMMEND LEAVING!!! He's rude, disrespectful, not helpful, and humiliating. You'd be better off learning spanish from a Taco Bell menu than taking any of his coures. GET OUT!!!

All the bad things a I heard about this professor are true. The only reason I took his class is that I'm a Spanish major and this was the only option available. I understand everything Fritz says, but I DON'T understand what he does. He's rude, gets in people's face, has a ridiculous grading system, and I have learned nothing in his class.

Socks and sandals aside, I found this class to be a complete waste of my life. I love the Spanish language, but this class was awful. Fritz seemed FAR more concerned with organizational details with than anybody learning Spanish. The way things were done, HOW it was turned in, and the format were most important, and frankly it was ridiculous.

This is supposed to be a conversation class but all we did was answer questions by repeating what the book says. He means well and is helpful but the class doesnt help ur spanish skills very much. also 45% of the grade is an interview and if u dont get to all the topics in 10 min u dont get full credit.

What the heck is everyone saying? I agree with one person at this level you should be able to keep up in a SPANISH only environment! if you cant go to a low level, beside Friz is easy to understand, speaks clearly and he is helpful, did anyone actually ask him for help? Did anyone ask for clarification? Knows his stuff and is a great teacher!

Very annoying professor. He uses the online digital drop down box which doesn't work with every computer. I turned in my assignments on time, everytime using digital drop down box, and since he didn't receive them I got 'Fs.' He does a poor job at answering questions, and the group divisions do not accomplish much. Avoid his class.

you have to realize it is CONVERSATIONAL SPANISH! at this level he expects you to be able to speak and understand spanish fluently. if you can't then go take a lower lever spanish course first. One bad thing i noticed was he seems to be repetitive in things he says and does every day. all in all a decent teacher.
