Prof Gamache is a wonderful professor. He is very enthusiastic about what he teaches. He is very helpful when you need it. Attendance is mandatory, you have to do short papers, some class quizzes and exams. As long as you go to class, take notes and keep up with homework you should do well. You need to work for a good grade !

I learned a lot from this professor. Gamache is passionate and you will learn a lot if you go everyday and pay attention. Tests were harder than expected but if you do all the papers and study it isnt that bad. Pretty simple, go to class, take notes, listen and your good.

Great teacher, really shows a strong love for the stuff he is teaching. The tests are pretty hard, but as long as you do every HW essay and are actually interested in is class you get a lot of extra points. The book isn't used in class expect for typing the two page essays every other week, and an in-class discussion/quiz, and the book is decent

I took Nature of Science. I thought the class was very interesting and the professor was very passionate about what he was teaching. Encourages a lot of critical thinking, something you don't necessarily take away from most classes in school. I would recommend this class to anyone else, I'm very glad I took it.

I took the Nature of Science and it was interesting. It's also a refresher of information, you had either forgotten, or did not know. This professor is really passionate about his teaching in this course. He does have a sense of humor so the class can at times be comical. I would take it again knowing now what I know about it.

He's a really good professor. You only need a book by carl sagan. Class is boring. Attendance mandatory. To past exams you either have to get science or dont.If you dont, google is your best friend if you want to pass. Also gives outline for exams. Quizzes are really easy and there is a lot of papers but it is on your own thoughts on the topics.

Be sure to keep up with homework, quizzes and attendance. Lectures are based on slides, which he hands out. Tests aren't HARD, but if you do poorly you can make up for it with homework & quizzes.

Fair and reasonable professor. Material is pretty easy going: power point lectures and some light reading from the text (but you will use the text). Exam format is multiple choice with a handful of broad essay questions at the end. Solid pick for a first year student: class isn't too taxing and he's an enthusiastic teacher.

This class is a good introduction to UMass Lowell. He teaches you it is ok to question your professors. I wish I had had him before some of the other tools at this school. The class is easy as long as you attend. Exams are multiple choice and essay. Just have an opinion, that will get you through the book readings. Bookrags.com helps!
