He is a great professor! Taught me a lot! Helped me with my writing also. You should take him. He makes a class interesting and he's very funny. You need to have a sense of humor though or you wont like him. You rarely have homework. Its a great class.

Stay away! He was rude to everyone of his students, forcing them to make suggestions and then saying that they were wrong. If you're five minutes late, prepare to get yelled at because only he can be late. I learned a few things from this class but not enough to warrant taking this class.

BE WISE DON'T TAKE HIS CLASS. The course is too challenging he gives weekly readings and assignments. If the work is not satisfying to him, you must do the paper over. I do not like the fact that once you do the paper over you might have the same grade. He is nice, cunning and charming but a harsh grader.

This guy is cool. He teaches writing as an independent workshop. You write, you read it in class, and everyone else, (including him,) gives you comments. The way it should be. He will not harp on you to work, because he expects you to be self-motivated. He's a sharp editor, and he's had succes as a writer, so he knows his stuff.

he wants you to be a sponge and absorb whatever he says.This is not grade school! You can get an A in his class if you write down what he says on "your" papers ( I know cause I done it). Hamburger's a great professor despite a few naysayers. He may be tougher in his literature surveys, but he was terrific in Creative Writing. He really makes you think about your papers and will help you out when necessary. He's a funny, interesting teacher who's done a lot in his life and it shows when he speaks.
