Prof. Hilton is a nice man, but you basically have to teach yourself the class, and the tests are so difficult, you never know what you're gonna get. If you want to take him, be prepared to be stressed out.

Prof. Hilton is a very nice man and clearly loves biology. However, the class format did not work for me and I am generally a straight A student. There is no homework so it's hard to tell if you're on the right track with note taking. The test questions often seemed random. Grades are based on 3 tests and final only.

Prof. Hilton has a compassion for bio. & teaching. If you are serious about college you will do well. He does not give homework, it is your resp. to read the material in order to understand his lessons. And you must ask question if you dont understand something. He his always happy to take the time to explain the materials. Best professor!

very nice man so you feel bad saying anything negative but omg BORING, talks about his family all class, none of his tests are on what notes you take in class, only 3 tests and a final, no lab grade i do NOT recommend this professor AT ALL!!!!

I attended profssor Hiltons class during Summer 1 of 2011. I found him interesting. He shows a life-long love for Biology. He challenges you to think and is very good with grades. You learn a lot in his class. I received an "A" and learned a lot.

This teacher gives very few notes for students to study, does not offer a study guide, and gives bizarre questions on exams. He complains his students don't study when he doesn't give them anything to study (considering none of the questions were directly from the book or the few notes he gave). Don't take this professor!

i agree prof hilton is a smart msn but oh my god his class was awful. he side tracks the whole time he is inlove with charles darwin. hilton is nice i agree that he shouldnt being teaching here you cannot undertsand him at all. i think he should have graded labs. he needs to do something to make the students joined in class

ok i may agree with some of the below remarks, he is an extremely nice person and has an obvious love of science. however his classes are fast and often unclear. i wish there was more study aids and direction. i would not say he was a horrible teacher if you study you can do ok, study was the key word there lets remember we are in college not h.s.

Dr. Hilton is a highly intelligent man, and he is not afraid to prove it. Many students find his class difficult, but he grades well. As long as you study and keep up with the material, you'll do fine. Warning: There are only 3 tests and a final (that's all he grades!), so if you're a bad test-taker I suggest you do not take Hilton.
