LOVED this professor! He's honestly an amazing person. Most things he says are clearly tongue-in-cheek. If you're offended, then you need to work on your sense of humor. He likes to bad-mouth communists, terrorists, the Japanese, etc. and he is hysterical! He actuay fought in Japan during WW2, so he is admirable as well as funny and kind.

Avoid him if you are a woman. He is not a big fan of women and makes this position emphatically clear. He will give you lower grades than the men in your class with no indication as to why. He is a Benevolent Sexist, and sitting through his class it terribly difficult. You will also not learn much from him. An all around waste of time and money.

Easiest professor I have ever had. He is hilarious-not for the things he says but because of how shocking they are. He is a classic McCarthy-era Republican and hates Communists, liberals, women, Japanese people, and Hillary Clinton. I didn't learn much about US wars besides WWII, but his grading is super easy--2 exams, 1 4-10 pg. paper.

Amazing person! Tells stories about meeting Martin L. King, Eleanor Roosevelt, landing in Japan after the bomb dropped,and infiltrating communist groups in East Germany for the government. This man IS LIVING HISTORY. I can't imagine having a more qualified professor teach a course on US Wars. He's hilarious and kind, too. Oh and easy!

Dr. Klein is awesome! Everyone who says he's rude has no sense of humor- this guy is hilarious. Gives great perspective because he's an 85 year old WWII veteran and brings other veterans in to speak. 2 exams- very easy, and a research paper about ANYTHING. Highly recommended, it is a gpa booster for sure and also an interesting class.

Boring class, you do not learn much, he is extremely rude, tells inappropriate jokes, did I mention he is RUDE? Yes, the class is easy, however, I would never take him again. I can't believe that loyola allows him to teach (probably because he donates salary to school). If it wasn't so easy it would have been the worst class I've ever taken!

Interesting subject, but terribly disorganized and boring lectures. The assignments are easy, but it helps to get on his good side. You will laugh in this class, but only out of shock due to Klein's overt political incorrectness. Easy A, but at the expense of boredom and not learning much.

Professor Klein is hilarious and crazy-easy. He's old so he repeats the same joke a few times, but it's still funny. We read 3 history books for class, all were good, and you have to write a 1-page reflection on it. Midterm was a joke, and so was final. Research paper was easy.

Eh, not a hard class, but he plays favorites for sure. He's nice, but a smart ass at times and thinks he's funny. Makes ridiculous threats on the assignments/tests and mumbles about random things, making note-taking useless. You will learn a lot, but he's often unclear about what he wants.

He is a very interesting person. I am not very fond of his personality. The class itself was pretty easy. He gives you the studyguides before each test (midterm and final) and there is a 10 page paper. It was a relatively easy class.

WWII in the pacific: while Dr. klein is notorious for his invites out after class, what goes on in class is just as entertaining. I enjoyed the class and feel that I had the opportunity to learn a lot.

The guy is hilarious!!! Awesome class, virtually no work. He grades extremely easily!!! A midterm, a paper, and a final thats it! Makes everthing extremely easy for the student! Fun and interesting class
