Really incredible professor! The way he lectures is so easy to follow and takes notes on and he really wants kids to succeed. Never makes anyone feel bad about asking questions or anything. I can understand he might seem a little odd, but he's clearly a really smart guy and he helps in whatever way possible.

Very passionate about what he does and you can tell that by the way he teaches. He's good at answering questions so that you understand it well. However sometimes his test questions aren't clearly written.

My favorite prof I've had thus far at USM. Super easy class. Lectures are rarely boring, and he presents multiple concepts of teaching--videos on the projector, a couple small projects to bring home, and handouts. Kind of goofy, but in a nice way. I would like to take another class with him and would recommend him.

I went into this class thinking it wasn't going to be at all interesting, but I had Klotz before so I decided to give it a try. I was wrong, however, because the teacher is very good at making clear-cutting points and relating what happened in the history of Maine legislation to the present.

One of the nicest & approachable professors I've had. Sometimes it's hard to pay attention because he is slightly quiet and sometimes it gets a little boring, but he is super helpful and understanding. Prepares you well for exams. His exam format is great, too.

One of the things I like about this professor is that he incorporates current events into his lectures, whether it be a supreme court case or the results of a primary. Not only that, but if there's a certain current event that we taked about in class, there's a good chance that there will be a question on one of his tests about that current event.

Where should I start? He is intelligent,funny, and simply the best! I always asked him for help & he made hard materials seem easy. He's very understanding when you come across a rare unfortunate circumastance!Definitely taking more classes with him until I graduate! I wish many professors had his qualities. By the way he has a gorgeous smile!

I think Professor Klotz is one of the most friendly and approachable teachers on campus. I give him an A++ and a thousand gold stars. His approach to teaching is refreshing and I consider him up there with Maiman, Schmidt and Faksh. Class is not too bad as long as you attend and pay attention!

Amazing. There is nothing bad to say about him because he's that great. He's open to ideas and is the best lecturer I have ever heard. The only negative I have is that one blond guy in the class who was in the army and never, ever shut up. The entire class would groan whenever he would talk. Poor Klotz handled him really well though.

Comment:

One of the best professors on campus, and I'm not even a political science major. His enthusiasm is amazing, and he utterly enjoys his job, which makes his student enjoy the class too. Homeworks and tests are amazingly fair. He makes me wish I actually WERE a political science major, even though I hate the stuff. Hot, hot, hot!
