Easily the best, most fun class I've taken at Hofstra. Prof always slows down to make sure everyone understands the lesson and tells the best stories along the way! There are short graded quizzes every class but he tells you exactly what's on them -- easy as long as you look over your notes for a few minutes. No hw either! Interesting and easy A!

Love this man! Explains all of the material and goes over it until everyone in the class understands. Tells the best, random stories! Gives quizzes every class so that you retain everything. I only studied in the mins b4 he walked into class (hes always late lol) and always got A's. Awesome profs. Take his class! I'd take anything he taught.

Best professor ever! Going in everyone is nervous because it is a language class but he really makes sure everyone understands. So fair!!! There are quizzes every class, but they are really helpful! He really gets you interested because his life is so interesting! take him 100% best decision you will ever make!! I cannot wait for Swah002:)

Dr. Leonard IS the best teacher not only in Hofstra but probably at most Universities. The man has done everything, from preforming at woodstock before jimmy hendrix to visiting almost every continent, speaking numerous languages. He Just gets it, he is there to help you and make sure your learning. It is easy to have fun and learn in his class

SUCH a fun professor and very interesting subject. He makes the class very fun. I got by with a B- without doing any work. He's such an educated and layed back guy despite all the stuff he's done.. rock band, woodstock, swahili, being arrested in kenya or whatever. The list is endless. He's not bad to look at either <3

He is the best teacher i have encountered in my 4 years at Hofstra. He explains everything clearly and relates it all to todays world. He is one of those teachers that makes you want to change your major because he is so interesting.
