He is a very nice guy, but his class is too hard for what it is. Any other professor makes this exact class significantly easier so I would recommend taking it with someone else.

He is such a nice person and actually does want you to succeed. If you visit him for office hours, then he will help you a lot; however, his tests are IMPOSSIBLE. This class really hurt my GPA.

His tests were so difficult and they were so long I could only make way through of the test. The questions made no sense to me. During lab he speaks for 2 hours.

I loved this guy, he's absolutely hilarious and way to smart to be teaching in CGS. It's an easy class if you care about what he teaches, or at least pretend to care.

Schoch is one of the quirkiest teachers I have ever had. He is very nice and wants his students to be interested in the course material, but his exams can be somewhat difficult and get very specific. We didn't use the online text book at all, so you really just have to go through his slides carefully.

Schoch is tremendously nice and loves to talk with students. That being said, his lectures consistently drift off topic. It would be easy enough to catch up on material with a textbook before each exam, except he doesn't assign one. He promotes interest in the subject but the exams are sometimes convoluted and don't follow the emphasis of lectures.

I LOVE him. He's the only professor that will stay as late as students need him to in order to help them thoroughly understand the material and do well. He truly genuinely cares! P.S. That guy below that left the negative comments decided to LIE to Schoch and was upset of the consequences. THAT"s why he left the negative feedback. Schoch is great!

Professor Schoch loves to tell stories and jokes that don't pertain at all to the subjects we study, but that's what makes the classes interesting. He is incredibly understanding and will help you with anything if you ask for it. Don't even bother with the textbook, I haven't opened it once.

Funny guy; tends to be very concise with material. Follows his own curriculum. Tends to be a love-him-or-hate-him professor. If you pay close attention, you can really get something out of the class, and if not, you'll get enough to do well on the exam.

Great prof. that knows how to deliver the material in clear, concise and funny manner. His quirks really add to the class and he's also pretty helpful during office hours. Ok maybe the constant rhetorical questions(which we're supposed to answer to stay alert)are somewhat annoying, but nothing too bad. Prof. Schoch is most definitely reccomended.

Easiest class imagineable. Don't bother to buy the books, you won't open them once during the semester. He takes attendance, so lecture is a must, however his rediculous sense of humor keeps it entertaining. His political commentary is completely idiotic, but handleable. If you don't get an A for the semester...I pity you.

He is AWESOME!!! Very funny, makes lots of jokes at his own expense. Very helpful, but you have to go up and ask him questions. He will tell you what you need to study. He puts all the powerpoints up online, which is a good studying tool. He works with you. He rocks (and he loves them)

A great guy and fun to talk to, he's very approachable and there are always plenty of people after class wanting to talk to him. He works with you when it comes to grades, and the tests aren't that bad once you learn what to study, and ask him what you need to know... Because he will tell you!
