Comment:

Such a kind heart, test and quizzes are easiest in the beginning of the course, gradually gets tougher. I'm a hard worker but not a good test taker and managed to do pretty well in his class.

Stats with him was the worst class that I have ever taken. Not specific with his directions - everything must be PERFECT or you will get points off and believe me - THEY ADD UP. I tell all of my friends to avoid this professor at all costs. Staying in this class was the biggest mistake I've ever made. Ruins your day and GPA, without a doubt.

I took 4 classes with him. He is a great human being, but as a grader he is tough. You need to attend every class or you will find yourself completely lost the next time. He is a true professional, he has an antiquated style of teaching which makes you learn whether or not you want to. He also curves the test grades depending on the highest score.

As mentioned, grades in decimals. Homework must be perfect or you will get points off for minor things such as not using a formula he requested. I'm a B+/A- student, and was happy with 70's on my tests because...well, that's this class. Very nice though. Keeps class interesting. As a human being he is a great guy, as a grader, he is harsh.

Prof.McCauley is the best math teacher I've ever had. I'm looking at the other comments and maybe it's because they attend large classes, but in a small setting he explains everything vividly and he lets you ask him anything. He offers help on his own time for free and gives reviews and outlines for every test/quiz..plus is jokes are mad funny lol

Worst teacher ever has the most monotone voice and will put anyone to sleep. Most bias teacher i ever met my whole life. Avoid him at all cost do not take his class dropping his class should be your number one priority if you are able to drop. He is not worth your time or money thinks hes a genius but he sucks.

Bro. McCauley is a very fair professor. He clearly lays out what is expected and what it takes to do well. Put some effort into the homework and study for the tests and you'll be fine. The only annoying thing was the unannounced quizzes.

He was truly the worst math teacher I ever had. His tests are terribly hard, quizzes are just like tests, his notes are illegible, for review day he reads the newspaper and waits for us to say something. I was doing badly in his class and he refused point blank to give extra credit. He passed me, but I still think he is the WORST man/priest/teacher

Tests questions are tricky. Sometimes he asks you things from the weeks ago that no one remembers. I have a feeling he never even taught it to us. Textbook is a must since HWs come from it, though he was nice to lend it to me. Always collects HW. Must do it! Quizes are unfair since he takes off .5 points out of a 3 pt quiz for the smallest error.

If you're a good math student spare yourself and don't take this prof. He goes over the material slowly but not very carefully. You get weekly homework which is 20% of the semester grade. If you're a weak student, take him and make sure you ask for help. You're allowed to use a TI-83 or similar calc on tests and he even helps you with that.
