Long lectures, tough assignments, and poor teaching. The teacher made an attempt to improve. Possibility for future sessions to be less about theory and more about application. Teacher not recommended.

If you already have subject knowledge and need the class just for credit, the class is fine. There are interesting programming assignment to apply concepts. However, the concepts are not always well explained in class so you need to have some information ahead of time or like learning on your own. But, you do the work, you'll get an A no doubt.

Taught me concepts about coding but didn't actually teach any practical coding, then gave multiple complex (for this level) projects that he expects to be done well. If you wanna learn about coding, he's alright; if you wanna learn HOW to code, look somewhere else.

This professor did not do a good job at all. I passed but I felt like I did not learn a thing. Unless if you plan on taking him for all three programming classes in the sequence I would not take him. He would lecture too long and give us no time to program. Nice guy, but the teaching style isn't good.

I wouldn't recommend Professor Moyer for this course. While I did well in the course, I had no idea what my grade was until the end. He didn't give us the grade of a single piece of code that we wrote until the day of the final. It was a bit ridiculous. The work wasn't hard, but you never knew if you actually had it right.

I feel like he does not get the credit that he should be receiving on here. I did not have a single problem with Moyer and he was always willing to help as much as possible. He does lecture a lot but he does many examples as well until the end of the semester where your expected to know what your doing by then. Overall really great guy.

Nicest guy with the best of intentions but I had no idea what I was doing and personally felt that when I needed help he would give me the answer, so I knew I wasn't going to be able to grasp any material as the class went along. The course workload was extremely reasonable and quizzes were simple.

Took this class as a requirement. He's an extremely nice guy and knows his stuff, but the workload is overwhelming with little to no explanation on what needs to be done or what you are doing. FYI, go home and read over the powerpoints discussed in class.

There is no time spent going over code. Tests are easy as anything. Vocab and lectured material. The entire class is lecture with programming at home but with no review over it and no due date. Programs, tests, and quizzes aren't given back so you have no idea what you got wrong.

He definitely knows what he is talking about but there is too much time spent on lecture and not enough time working with code. Not the worst programming teacher I have had but not the best either. You may have difficulty in his class if you have no prior experience.

Classes are packed with information, he makes a ton of resources availble to students on his web page. Quizzes are easy if you study the terms, tests aren't bad either. A lot of programming work though
