DO NOT TAKE A CLASS WITH THIS TEACHER!! He knows the material, but is not good at teaching it. His lectures are very unorganized and confusing. My class started with 45, 15 lasted til' the final, out of 5 students I talked to after, I was the only one who passed the class with a C.

He is a nice guy but has no clue how to relate to his students. It's obvious he's brilliant, but he lectures as if we are just as brilliant as he is and know all about the irrelevant stuff he discusses. He can't put two words together w/o saying "um" or "uh." His tests are based on homework, so if you read the book and do the work, you'll be ok.

Nice guy. Really, he's a nice guy. But he's not cut out to teach. He has a lot of problems just speaking (a kid in the back of the room wrote a tick mark down on his paper every time Patenaude said "um" or "uh". In a two hour class period the list reached two-thousand). He screws up a lot. HE knows math, but he's not good at teaching it.

Alright, this guy stinks. He says the word "Uh" ever half of a second...NO JOKE! I got a B in his class and I never once listened to any of his lectures. It's basically a class where you teach yourself how to do the work and you'll be fine...but this guy really can't teach, so if you don't mind his boredom and you teach yourself then you're fine

very difficult to understand his lecture. He mumbles to much and is all over the place. He made me confused... I just studied on my own and got help from tutors at TLC. Although he is very nice, he is defintely not a professor where you can really educate yourself

On last comment: I have a 2hour class & he gives us a break, during which you can go up & ask him anything you need help on. He's a nice guy. He'll work the problem with you one-on-one until you get it. You WILL understand it better by the time he's done. If not, there's the TLC lab. Just keep asking questions. And he's not so strict on being late.

HERE'S THE TRUTH. His lectures are hard cuz he mumbles and gets lost at times. Tests are based on the hw. Do the hw and you'll do fine on the tests. If you try to listen to the lectures AND read the chapters yourself, you'll have no problem understanding the material. Ask him questions and he'll answer them cuz he wants you to understand them.
