3 exams worth 120 points. No curve. Slides are text filled and you are required to memorize them word for word, and there's around 6 to 7 powerpoints per test with 30 to 50 slides each one so you can imagine the amount you need to memorize. He stops leachuring on the test material 2 or more weeks before the exam and starts on the next exam material

Comment:
Purposely makes the first exam extremely difficult, the average was a 64% and there was no curve. All the other exams were embarrassingly easy, but not enough to make up for the failure of the first exam. The whole class is graded from three 120 point tests, and if you cannot memorize the information directly off the powerpoints you wont do well.

PowerPoints of text w/ blank slides you fill in during lecture. Grade is based on three exams, 120 pts each, no curve. Multiple choice exams with many questions formatted as (or similar to) A, B, C, D: All of the above, E: A and B, but not C. If youre bad at memorizing detail-for-detail do not take his class, you will likely find exams confusing.

The way this class is run is extremely lazy. Your entire grade is determined by 3 exams, and there is no curve. In lecture, you are just read information off of the slides and expected to memorize it word-for-word for the tests. The lack of effort put into the design of this lecture's structure is obvious. I will be dropping.

boring lecture but you have to go to class to get the powerpoint notes, and you just have to memorize the slides to pass the 3 midterms and the finals. no quizzes or homework. your grade depends only on 4 exams, and there is no curving

Dr. Robichaux was a great professor. His lectures were very interesting and explained in great detail. He even does a whole unit in HIV and influenza. The tests are easy if you memorize ALL information in the PowerPoints.

Dr. Robichaux is excellent. He really knows his stuff, and the tests come directly from his PowerPoints. If you can memorize the material straight from the notes this class is a breeze, and the final is sure to have ~10 bonus questions. An A is very obtainable, especially if you study for about a week for each test from old exams. Take this class!

All you have to do is memorize his power point slides. And by memorize I mean every little detail. If you can get the blank slides from another student (past students work too) then you can just give yourself a few hours the day before an exam and do just fine. No homework, no quizzes, no curve.

He makes class very interesting at times, and can be quite humorous, but also can be pretty dry. 4 tests determine your grade. There is NO CURVE. Memorize slides. Seriously. That is the only way you will do well. Tests are all multiple choice, but they can be confusing because your choices are: "A, B, C, D-all of the above, E-A & C but not B."

Prof Rob is the best introductory ecol 182 teacher. All the other teachers I've heard are confusing. He is very straight forward: 4 midterms. That's it. You may not do well on the first, but once you develop a good study habit (memorize ALL the slides!), and A is definitely attainable. I learned a lot, and I made sure to stay on top of each ppt.

Professor Rob is a fun teacher, however the tests are confusing. He expects you to master everything that he has mastered in his 40 some years of teaching, and he makes the tests with that in mind. A lot of the people that have As have said that they use his old exams, but not everyone is able to get them. If you want to pass, take someone else.

Take this class. Dr. R is literally one of the best teachers I have had at the UA. He is so engaging and funny and actually made me want to learn about the material we were learning. he has so much life experience and tons of stories that make the class really great.

His class is awful. The exams are just pure memorization of ppt slides. He teaches random information and never talks about larger concepts. You are expected to know the details of random examples from the ppts. I do not think he is good at teaching and the only people who are successful are the ones that can memorize his power points word for word

This is the one-unit, followup class that he offers to students who have taken his 182 course. Incredibly easy, moderately interesting. Would recommend if you need an extra unit. A nice family feel.

He's a nice guy. However, I find his lectures very boring as he just reads from the ppt. He tries to explain some of it but his explanation are very confusing. Plants is his world, so he knows a lot about them. But I'm skeptical to his knowledge on human sciences-the nervous system, etc. Study directly on his powerpoints and try to get old exams.

I liked the content a lot and Uncle Rob is a fun guy who loves what he does. Main complaint is that class is just reading off the powerpoints. So go to his office hours. A lot of people have his old tests from previous years and they are VERY similar. I used some from 2008 and they were still similar! so find someone who has them and study off that
