Best Professor BY FAR!!! Always maintains a positive attitude! Even when u can tell by his facial expressions that he wants to say something, he doesn?t! He pushes you 2 B the best that you can be, and he helps you if you really don?t know how to :) He is very helpful, and makes you laugh. He goes above and beyond for his students.

Great teacher, good class disscussions, interesting material, and the homework is easy. A lot of essay writing, but you get to choose what prompt you want to do. He's a bit disorganized, and sometimes I'm not certain what I'm supposed to be doing, but he's very helpful, and answers all questions.

I've taken some pretty hard english classes before so this class wasn't hard for me. He is kind of disorganized and is always late on returning things. Sometimes I felt class was useless. Pay attention and write essays in a way he would want it to be written and you'll do fine.

A very funny man and a great person, but not so much teacher. He is always late and returns papers weeks later. However if you TRY and do all the essays you will do well. Hes strict about MLA format but you do learn. very boring class but id do it again. he is funny and even gave us cd's of music he downloaded

I thought he was a HORRIBLE professor. His essay were basic sophomore year high school status and he is VERY unclear on what he wants in the essay. I have always been a huge fan for english but UGH maybe not anymore. THis class was a huge waste of time.

I personally find Roden an EXCELLENT professor. He is slow to get back papers, yes. But he is extremely intelligent, engaging, funny, and real. His teaching strategy is highly effective, although partly dependent on the interest level of your peers. His advice is also very, very helpful. I highly recommend Roden.

ughh...I don't know where to start. Unreasonable when it comes to giving us the right amt of time to write essays. Wastes time in class discussing the readings in groups. Nice guy, but a horrible professor. It takes forever to get back papers, he is extremely unorganized, takes forever to respond to emails (if at all). Overall the class was not difficult... I got an A. BUT I didn’t learn a thing. I wouldn't recommend him.

he was the worst teacher i ever had in college. he was so unorganized and all we did was reading respnses and a couple essays, which took him at least 4 weeks too give back each essay. so unorganized, he is very understanding, nice, and funny. but i dont think he was a good teacher at all left me confused all semester especially towards the end.
