Robert Sessions is one of the best instructors that I have ever had. I learned more valuable information from him in one semester than I did my entire high school education. How he pointed out what a premise is and a conclusion and that you can argue against a premise or the conclusion or both is something that everyone should learn before they taken any other college classes. You can regurgitate information fed to you and get handed grades by less professors or you can learn to think yourself and earn it with this professor. If you want to learn the art of thinking, debate, and questioning- this is the instructor for you.

His class was challenging and made us do group conversations often but in the end. I very much enjoyed the class. never mind the scores or b00bs that have not liked his classes. If you want to learn how to think about values, morals, and decision making, I recommend his classes. Not a easy class for freshmen. *Old school teacher Better quality cla

Don't state an opinion aloud in this guys class. Most teachers will say, "Well, that is true, but not what I was looking for" Bob will just say "No" with a tone implying he is smarter that you. Well, of course he knows more about ethics, you teach it.

A for effort, the only problem is that his A isn't good enough. Genuinely a good guy. I honestly believe he thinks he is explaining things clear. Papers must be based on sound logic. Grades are Biased. I showed huge interest and gave 100% but he nailed my first paper. Got an A in rhetoric but not good enough writer for him. Talks way to SLOW! ZZZZ

This class was very hard!!! Dr. Sessions does not care about his students. Very bad teacher. Why ask a question to the class if he is only going to make you feel stupid for asking one and then basically tell you, you know nothing. To him his opinion is the only one that matters!!!

I have one reaction for this class. Uhhh....what? I had no idea what he was talking about the entire time. I consider myself intelligent enough, and thought an introductory philosophy course would be a breeze. The course is based on The Matrix trilogy (yes, the movie), which is surreal to me because it's such a silly thing.

You need to be his friend or your papers will get nailed. Do not SKIP class, as he knows to take attendance or nobody would show. The readings are used in the exams, so read the assigned work. In reply to:"created the textbook!" He just "created" a textbook that is composed of well established philosophers, economists, and other renowned folk.

Extremely difficult class, but he proposed the class and created the textbook! This man has a lot to teach, if people will listen. Worth taking his class and learning a lot, but you have to worry less about your grade in order to survive.

I was unclear on a lot of assignments. He tries to thoroughly explain things, but I didn't feel he tried at an introductory level. Very very nice guy. Difficult class.

Extensive attempts for class participation, but no attempts for class interest. Although the subject matter could in fact be interesting, no effort was made to get students into it. Result: no one cared, half of the class dropped.

content is subjective, material is uneducation, and group discussion is merely social interactions you can skip the class but have to type a paper up about what you --missed--
