Dr. Sirk is amazing! He is so funny and cool! He is clear with the material and will make cool demonstrations of natural events in our world like storms, floods, tornados, hurricanes, etc. He deserves more respect than hate!

Dr. Sirk he is without a doubt the best professor that I have ever had at APSU! He's so hilarious, helpful, approachable, and very passionate with his teaching! If you're taking Geography then take this man's class! Trust me! You won't regret it! Don't listen to the bad reviews about him!

Dr. Sirk is one of the best professors at Austin Peay State University. He is straight forward with his teaching and he is absolutely hilarious. His humor makes class so much fun to be in. Although he can get out of control sometimes with his humor, he is still an amazing professor and I highly recommend taking any of his classes.

Comment:

Sirk is very cut and dry, and I respect that. Show up, take notes on the lectures, study, all multiple choice tests. Some days are video days with questions. Don't take notes or pay attention? You won't pass. He makes snide remarks and isn't afraid to embarrass you, but that won't be a problem if you know your stuff. Overall, I'd recommend him.

His class is super easy because a lot of it is already common knowledge. You might spend at max 2 hours in total studying for each test. He seems passionate about a few things but has such a monotone voice that it comes off like he's always bored. He can also be slightly inappropriate at times and won't show you what you missed on the test.

An excellent professor. He has his pet peeves like wearing hats, use of cell phones, etc., but he is very personable and if you approach him with anything, he will help in any way he can. He is also one of the most educated professors on campus and he is influential in what goes on around campus.

He is a very aggressive person. He gets off subject a talks about his personal life almost more than the material. I honestly wanted to learn about the world, and not how much he dislikes his ex-wife. The class is pretty easy though. All of his exams are 50 question multiple choice, and the material is pretty basic vocabulary memorization.

Horrible professor, he will lecture what he believes and then give you a 50 word study guide. His notes do not help, he is also very mean. Do not take him, you will have a hard time.

He doesn't take attendance. "You're paying for the class I don't care if you show up or not". 4 exams that are all multiple choice completed on a scan-tron. His power-points are online but he lectures during class. He gets very distracted and off-topic, and will call you out in a heartbeat. He's a funny guy but he crosses the line sometimes.

He is passionate about everything he says. For the most part he is an easy teacher, just make sure you study for his test. He gets off topic a lot but makes the class interesting. Also, you will never know if he is serious or messing around. I enjoyed his class for the most part.

sirks the man. he goes off topic alot and he does tell some corny jokes, but just go in there with a sense of humor and dont be to sensitive youll be ok. he cares about your learning and will give any help you ask for. not much homework, notes posted online, tests directly from notes and lecture. i would take hime for my entire major if i could.

Sirk is a great professor. He care about the students eventhough it may not seem that way. He keeps things interesting and don't keep it boring. He tells stories to go along with the material to help students better understand the material. This was my first class with him and next semester I am taking 4 with him. Great Professor!!

Sirk is a pretty nice professor. He keeps the subject interesting even at 8 in the morning. He answers all your questions. He helped me out when I couldn't afford the book for his class because of the book voucher, and let me use the teacher's reserve in the library. He's willing to talk to you after class if needed. All around cool guy. I would recomend anyone to his class. I was recommended and I'm happy I did It!
