Professor Theil was the worst math professor I have had in my undergraduate career. He would belittle us in class calling us stupid and morons to our faces. Our midterm grades were based off of one exam we had and the great did not reflect how we did accurately. If you plan on learning, do not take this class. You will not learn anything.

I had him and I was freaking out cause i thought i was definitely gonna fail, but I got my grade and found out i got a C. i was surprised cause i didnt understand anything he was saying in the class. He's a nice guy but i kinda have mixed feelings about the class, glad i passed but i was stressing out the whole time.

the material has its ups and downs, but professor theil does a great job at explaining it to make sure everyone understands which is really helpful. he takes attendance daily so you have to go and his hw is outta the book. he lets us use a "cheat sheet" on the exams with the equations and an example of them. he is overall a great professor.

Lets face it, it's statistics, what do you expect. Unless your mathematically inclined statistics is very challenging, but Prof. Theil takes this class into a realm where you can at least get through the class without too much misery. He was extremely helpful during examinations, and without the help I don't think I would have done as well.

Very nice and funny teacher! He will explain the concept to the class billions and billions of times until the class understands it. He is not like other professors that just teach according to the lesson plan despite the fact that half of the class is lost!...Take him!!

Professor Thiel was a great teacher. He made sure that everyone knew the material, if you didn't get something, he wouldn't hesitate to take the WHOLE class trying to help you understand. If you have a lab with him, all you do is correct the homework. I would definitely recommend him.

Excellent teacher, funny, easy to follow, makes all work clear and readily available for help. Gives practice exams before the actual test and goes over the practice in detail. You have to try hard to fail this course. I HATE math and have never gotten an A in math courses before, but he made the class easy and enjoyable.

Professor Thiel possesses a skill that separates himself from any math professor i have ever had, his ability not only to be very knowledgable with his material, but also to be able to make students of all ability levels understand his material. He is a very understanding professor who wont hesitate to work with you. I tool him for a summer class

Very honest and resonable down to earth guy. He wants you to understand the concept of what your learning rather then just memorizing formulas. Always went the extra limb for students. This class was the only Math class I ever got an A in, in my entire life. Theil rocks!

I had this professor for a summer class. He is the nicest guy and he is so knowledgable. I've never passed math before and I got an A in his class. He's wonderful and makes it impossible to fail. I highly recomend this professor.

Professor Theil is a part time professor at Southern but he is one of the best professors I have ever taken. I have learned so much! He takes time to make sure every one understands the material before moving on to the next subject.
