I agree with everything that has been written about Mrs. Gunderson. She is an excellent teacher, but she is tough and expects a lot from you, which is as it should be. My only complaint is that she gets behind on her schedule, which means at the end of the semester you are forced to cram a lot of difficult material into a short amount of time.

She is good, she's clear and to the point. I really did learn. you do have to get a 93 for an A but she offers quite a bit of Extra credit so this isn't hard to accomplish. All and all she knows her stuff i have never even seen her stumble during lecture. She does repeat stories a lot lol but they're usually relevant. I'd recommend her.

She knows everything about biology, but...it is Very hard to understand her explanations. It very confusing for me..I did not remember anything after her lecture. AND I was not alone in it. A lot of my classmates had the same problem.I hope she will improve her teaching methods. Good luck!!

An extraordinary professor! She has the rare ability to summarize difficult concepts .Her lectures are clear and interesting.Labs are not rushed and she is very approachable and helpful. Lastly,and most importantly,she gives students lessons in living and working- how to pursue and attain goals,and how to be the best we can be in our future jobs.

She expects a lot. This class is for those who want a job where we can kill someone with an oversight. I wish I could take her for 227, but it conflicted with a class I need. Study hard. Party less; it is time consuming to do well. Minimize your ego. Very helpful and knowledgeable. If you didn't make it, you didn't work hard enough. LOVE HER!

She is a wonderful instructor. There is a lot of information to understand and memorize, but it is much worse if you take this subject at a university level. Students who gave bad reviews are not serious about their education or are those that slack off. If you study hard for this class, you will earn that grade.

If you are a self learner, do NOT take this course. While prof gunderson is knowledgeable & very helpful, she always goes off on very long non-related tangents and forgets about class lectures. Our class was 4chapters behind during finals week & she compensated by speeding through 4chaps in a/wk. Her grading scale is 93-100% for an A & 74 is a D.

Mrs Gunderson is a really good teacher. Take her word when she tells you not to memorize a system and that you have to truly understand the function of a system. If you understand the system she's testing you on you'll get good grades on every test. Her class isn't a walk in the park but if you really put your all in her class youll learn so much

I would never take her again! She talks so fast that it is really difficult to catch up.I had to read my textbook all the time, because I basically went out her classroom with nothing in my head. Her handwriting is unreadable and drawings are extremely sloppy.She doesn't say what's going to be on exams. Good thing- there are no quizzes.

She is a very hard teacher.She went way too fast in the class and did not follow her notes AT ALL. What is the point of giving a packet of notes if you are not going to go through them thoroughly?! She went off topic so many times as well. I put textbook use as 5 bc I had to read everything MYSELF in order to understand anything!

Very tough class because of the amount of material taught. Professor knows what she is talking about and has a real passion for it. Really glad that I took her because I learned so much. If you work hard, study lecture notes, and take time to understand material, you will do well. If you are not planning to invest time, don't bother!

This class was pretty easy, but req'd some studying. If you are studying to become a nurse, doctor, pharmacist, take her. She is very informative about the three fields and relates topics in anatomy with the job. The tests are worth small pts, and one huge lab practical.

I love her!!!! took her for med term, bio 226 and 227. She knows how to make you understand the material. Always available for you. Her test are tough, but you can only benefit from it.
