AWFUL!! She said we have to know EVERYTHING and she means everything. The most pointless tests which includes questions over minute examples in the book. She is never prepared, assigns you work but won't grade it or apply it your grade. She never shows up to meetings and you will never get a response from her. Take her at your own risk.

Hope you have a photographic memory. Actually said to the class that we're not expected to learn material conceptually, only memorize, because it's a Freshman level class and Freshmen don't have the skills to conceptualize. Took Professor Pohlman for an online class and couldn't finish it fast enough. Although her tests and the final were pretty easy it was awful trying to communicate with her. When I e-mailed her with questions she would e-mail me back but would not answer my questions.

Worst teacher in the world. Does not know what she is doing, ever! Tells you one then and does another. Cannot answer in class questions. Does not know what her online slides mean and adds to them the morning of class so if you printed notes prior they are completely wrong. Has favorites and grading is very biased.

Dr. Pohlman is one of WSU's best! Doesn't baby students, expects them to take intiative but yet is most helpful and caring - and so passionate about BIO it is naturally transferred to students and stimulates our interest. I too, got so excited about BIO that I pondered changing my major.

Dr. Pohlman is the best Biology Instructor I have ever taken. she teaches it so well that it actually sticks to the students brain. she is a very sweet lady and because of her, I switched my major to Biology.

class is educating and easy if you know all the terms. (i got a 95%!)she is wonderfully sweet, and she makes errors on the quizzes. if you catch them, she fixes the quiz and give you points back. don't cheat on all of the online quizzes, you'll fail the exam if you do. follow the syllabus properly, don't miss any of quizzes. easy A!

I took this class as an intersession class and only met the prof during the final. The material and text were very easy and test were fair. Prof is nice and responsive to students concerns/questions. Beware, I am only speaking for the intersession section of this class which was on-line.

I don't understand why everyone is saying Dr. Pohlman is a horrible prof. I took her summer classes and got A's in all three, and believe me, I was expecting to get C's at best. She has a hearing problem, but she's a very nice, well-educated woman. you people just gripe because you don't want to put forth any effort. Welcome to College!
