This class was very difficult. I took it over the summer and it definitely required a lot of studying in order to do well. Maxwell is great and makes the lectures interesting. GO TO LECTURE. You'll be sorry if you don't.

Mrs. Maxwell is a very intelligent woman and very sweet. The lab course was definitely not an easy A, but she did everything in her power to help you. If you need clarification on anything in the quizzes, she will do more than enough to help. She is definitely one of my best professors at UNCG!

Comment:

Maxwell is great at lecturing, she real knows her stuff. She's very approachable, and wants students to do well. Although she changed her tests the semester I took it to all multiple choice, which was literally hit or miss, so tests were fine. There a group activities, online assignments and then the tests. Fill out her notes and you'll be fine.

Dr. Maxwell's lectures are very clear and precise. She tries to keep the topics interesting and succeed at it. It is almost impossible to fail any of her exams -- she ONLY tests you on what was covered in lecture and even posts all the outlines for each topic. Literally, you go to class, fill in the guideline, and study it. No excuse to fail!

Dr. Maxwell is great. Her enthusiasm is infectious and she cares about her students. Puts in a lot of work to make sure everyone understands the material. Very approachable, very knowledgable, one of the best teachers I've had. Don't miss class if you can help it.

LOVE Mrs. Maxwell. She is the best professor i've had at UNCG. She knows her stuff and is always willing to help her students. Lecture test aren't bad as long as you study and take notes. Come to class cause getting 1.5's can increase your grade. Lab is harder than class I didn't have her though. If you do bad its your own fault.

Dr. Maxwell was one of the most helpful teachers I have ever had. I took her microbiology class over a summer and really enjoyed it. She was always happy to answer any questions about the material after class or during her office hours and really made the subject interesting.

This is by far the best science course I have taken at UNCG! Mrs. Maxwell makes the information easy and relatable. She also teaches the lab which is an extra bonus and she will do anything to help her students. I would take another class with her in a heartbeat! She is the BEST!

Fair grading. Must attend class. The effort you put in is reflective in your grade. Professor Maxwell is more than willing to explain material in office hours, chat sessions the night before the exam, and at the end of lab if time allows. Material is difficult and tests are NOT easy--multiple choice, fill in the blank, matching. Study hard!

Professor Maxwell is the best teacher I have had at UNCG thus far! I was dreading having to take Microbiology, but Maxwell is such a great professor, that she def. changed my mind about this class, and I now love it! If you don't understand something, go to her office hours, because she is so helpful & kind!

I just took this class over the summer because I live near UNCG. I normally go to another science oriented school, and I must say, this class was VERY easy. Compared to all other classes I've had in the past, tests were very straight forward and Mrs. Maxwell is very helpful! If you have to take it, don't be worried at all.

AWESOME TEACHER!!!! She goes above and beyond to help her students if you go to her and request such help. I was suppose to have a tutor and never got one, but I went to her and she set time aside for me to sit with her and go over material all semester. She is awesome and I love her as a professor. I got a B+, but I worked my bum off for it.

I had Ms. Maxwell for Invertebrate Zoology Lab! She is an incredible awesome teacher. This was my favorite course and she offered extra credit to improve our grades. I ended up with a 110 in the class. I highly recommend taking invertebrate zoology with her! You will have to memorize the invertebrates phylogeny to succeed.

Awesome, Awesome teacher! I really cannot say enough good things about her. Extremely willing to help and really wants all of her students to do well. The text book is really only used for picture references, so you really don't need it. All of her exams come straight from the notes and she gives you a chance to do extra credit on exams.Take Her!

She's a really nice lady and really willing to help you out. She gives extra credit opportunities and the tests are just on your notes. I wouldn't buy the book unless you're a really visual person - you draw out any pictures you'd need to know. It's not simple, but it's definitely possible. The lab tests are harder than the class ones..
