Comment:

She's confusing. She babbles a lot and it gets even more confusing. I personally hated the class because of the subject. However, her teaching style, or lack there of, made it even harder for me to understand any of it. Even with a 1 on 1 tutoring session she's hard to follow. Be ready to read your book and teach yourself. Sweet woman though.

Ms. Powell was the 2nd Prob and Stats teacher I had. I made an A in her class, after barely making a D with the other professor. She is a great teacher. A little spastic, but very sweet. She tries to make the lectures enjoyable. If you pay attention, do the homework, and the projects you will do well. (FYI, I am a horrible math student)

Here's the thing with Ms. Powell: She is very, very intelligent, and fluent with mathematics, but, her lectures aren't easy. They're difficult for someone who struggles with math to get. She is a VERY sweet lady, I went to her office 3 or 4 times during the semester to get tutoring from her. I also got tutoring from GTC's services.

I took mat 120 online and Ms. Powell helped me whenever I needed it. Do ALL the quizzes on MSL and practice using the MSL homework assignments. If you study and practice at home, you will pass. Tests are hard but she grades pretty good.

There are 3 tests, 3 projects, 8 online quizzes (w/multiple attempts), and the final. As long as you pay attention in class and take the miniprojects seriously you will be fine.A TI-84 calculator is a must have!! She shows you step by step how to use it for the material she is teaching. You need the textbook code for online quizzes

Ms. Powell is such an amazing professor! Statistics is so hard(in my opinion) but she makes it easy. Her tests are hard and easy, but she grades FAIR! As long as you attempt to solve the problem correctly(even if you don't get the right solution), she will give you some kind of credit! She's always available during her office hours and so helpful!

Professor Powell knows what she is doing while she is teaching that sometimes it seemed like she would forget that she is teaching students that are somewhat new to the topic or class. She is very helpful. If you ask for help, she is more than welcomed to come and help with a problem. She likes to laugh and smile a lot during her teachings.

I was uneasy about taking an online math course, but Ms. Powell made it a very pleasant experience. The math labs were easy to use, and if I had any questions about the homework, she always responded quickly. The tests are not freebies! You need to study, but she does give partial credit if your error is evident in your work. I recommend!

Robin Powell is a decent math professor. I ended up doing ok. She gives partial credit on tests. You will need to do all of the web assign quizzes and study for tests. Get a tutor if you start to struggle.

I would NOT recommend anyone to take her class. She is very confusing and babbles so much she cannot get anything done and gets you even more confused. She does not go over problems in front of the class that you have questions about, she chooses random problems.

She gives a lot of effort points on tests. Just be in class and pay attention and everyone will basically come to you from the past classes you took in high school. Very nice, had this class as a short summer class so I attended every class. Only 10 grades given so do your best on grades in the beginning and don't slack off.

She's a great teacher! She's fair with her grading and she does her best to help students. She was my favorite because every time I needed her help, she was right there, front and center! She even offers extra credit! I would take her class again if I got the chance!

Ms. Powell is a really good and fair teacher; however, she sometimes she tells you the wrong way to do things which is really confusing. Ms Powell knows what she's talking about. I had her for Stats and her tests are hard but she grades fair (show your work)! The mini projects helped me get a better grade.I think all the tests at GVL are unfair,they think were at University or something! It's a technical college folks.I would recommend her if you've takin math 102 first!

I had Powell twice, once for algebra another for stats. if you take her classes take her for stats. she is really helpful, rather laidback, and knows her stuff when it comes to stats. stay away from any other math class with her. i found summer classes with her are easy easy easy. do the work study good grades will follow

Worst math teacher I've EVER had! Goes off subject, tells you how NOT to do the problem right after explaining how to, and says the word "right" a billion times! She was pretty rude to me. If I turned to the person beside me and asked a question (relating to the problem) she would call me out in front of the class. Do NOT take her class!!
