Comment:

Took her for photo 1 and 2, and found her extremely helpful for both. She spent a lot of time engaging and encouraging us to persue our interests instead of just generic assignments. She also has a lot of professional experience and gives a lot of helpful advice based on that.

The worst experience I've had in my long college career. The toughest part is having to deal with her personality. Keeps students in her class until it's too late to drop the class without losing $$, after that does not care who stays. Very old school; is not up to date with today's standard and passes the buck when technology gets over her head.

She sucks not only as a teacher but also as a person . Stay away from her take anyone but her. Better yet save money and just look at youtube if you want to learn about photography. We all don't know how her picture of her kid and her pets are considered "ART". They may be the only two things that want to work with her her. If not no food.

She also doesn't teach you photoshop or light room in her photography classes. She will show you off to Bernard when you need to print for her class because she doesn't know how to format the printers when she says "the print is too yellow fix it". she essentially only teaches you about cameras and would rather teach about iPhone cameras...

She's not the easiest teacher but I didn't mind that. She can be hard on you, but if you're in the photography or art field you need to grow thick skin - so she's realistic. She's actually nice if you get to know her, just not overly friendly. But I'm not either so I guess I understood where she was coming from. Not for everyone, but I liked her.

I had her for Photography 1. She's very controlling, vague, and indecisive. She talks a ton and keeps you beyond class time. For the midterm, you have to show the class all your prints and she tells you about your weaknesses. Every assignment requires 40 photographs. She acts like every student in the class wants to be a photography major. Absurd.

Tends to be rather uncertain of how to be an authority figure. Tends to be rude and on edge, but outside of class is much nicer. Strongly opinionated on work and is unforgiving to the photos she dislikes. I would recommend avoiding taking her if possible.

decent teacher. she is kind and knowledgeable. she knows what she is doing in the dark room. but if you get on her bad side it isn't good. during critique she can be opinionated and harsh. she can tell if you don't put effort into the class. you need to go to class, work hard, and have nice prints. she can be extremely helpful if you need her to be

She is very negative and cynical. She is very inconsistent. This week likes a photo, next week hates the same one. Shoot "her way" or beware. Does not mentor your style; applies hers onto you.Counts shots like she's keeping score. All her good ratings are from 4-5 years ago, probably from neurotics like her.

She loved me last semester and hated me this semester. Why? Who knows! One day she's nice to you and the next she'll talk about you behind your back and give you dirty looks as you walk away. I'm not the only one who's noticed this. All she does is talk about herself. She really wants attention and praise. If you don't give it she hates you. Crazy.
