Comment:

Professor Torpey does his homework. When there are problems with labs, he works on creating solutions. His lectures are very informative and his explanations are clear. The only downside is that he sticks to the textbook and rarely gives professional insight into the field.

Comment:

Torpey is a great professor. I really enjoyed his class. The man knows what he's talking about and his homework and labs do a good job at reinforcing the material. My only complaint about this class is I wish it was harder. So long as you keep up with the material it's really hard to do bad. Kinda wanted more challenging labs and assignments.

Torpey's an ok professor. The man knows what he's talking about so listen to his lectures. My complaints are his lectures aren't very entertaining. He doesn't get me as excited to learn the material as some other professors on this campus. He also doesn't cover much outside the textbook, so his lectures don't teach you anything new if you read.

He is the most knowledgable professor I've had so far. Any time I asked a question, he always had an answer, and his answers answered the question I asked. Anybody not passing a class with him is lazy as there are several opportunities to get easy points (attendance, homework(2 tries to get it right)).

His lectures go off the material you were assigned to read. Basically if you read the chapters you'll understand the lectures. He'd be better if he showed us how to physically set up the routers during the lecture rather than going through the material that we've read already.

A worthless professor.. I barely went to class and still managed an A. Even when I attended class I did homework for different classes or played flash games. He talks and rambles about nothing important. Taking any class with him is a waste of time.

Good Guy, the class i took with him though was really hard. It was not due to him, but the material and the work. It was a core class so you have to go with it. Overall he is an OK teacher. Nothing bad but nothing great. I hope his class gets a little easier for you guys in the future

Torpey is a classic lecture professor. I liked hardy better mainly because hardy emphasized hands on learning more. Torpey knows his stuff and is very helpful. I would prefer more hands on education, but i still learned a lot.

Doesnt know everything, but doesnt pretend to. VERY NICE GUY. Fair grading, helpfull, nice. Dont know how anyone can hate him. Ihighly recommend this guy. Great guy, not best at teaching in the world, boring, but MUCH better than the alternative(Silva)
